Oh boy oh boy, it finally came in last night!
I was able to get it up and running without a lot of trouble, but I did have to make a few adjustments to my rig to match this kit's setup.
So far I was able to match a couple of TTs I did with my old wheel by .5secs, not a bad transition so far!
Coming from a driving force gt pro, this new wheel is a lot bigger, made from better materials, and has
much stronger and more dynamic FFB. It's also much quieter during normal driving conditions, but still screams if you take your hands off and let it whip around.
The pedals are (as expected) the only shortfall so far. They have good resistance but the brake isn't progressive and has a very small range of motion. It may need to be stiffened up in order to expand that short throw...
I used it to run a few laps in GT6 on PS3 as well as Driveclub on PS4. The latter is a totally cheesy arcade-y mess of a game, but the wheel at least made it more immersive. The added PS button vs my old wheel is a godsend as I've always had to keep a DS3 close to power down or chat, and the buttons in general are well placed and feel fine. The L3 and R3 buttons are a little out of the way, but that just puts the horn out of reach!
So far I'm super pleased overall, and look forward to getting a whole new experience out of the game with this beast!
