The M728 is what we had - I didn't know the M88 had a cannon. We had the 165mm "Watermelon gun" - could see that sucker in the air, if you were young'n dumb enough to not be buttoned up.

I'm now older and a smidge wiser.
the M88 doesn't. Just a wrecker with a crew served turret ring. AKA the rolling coffin.

I did and I don't understand the drift setup. I've got both the genki and S2000 spent over an hour trying to do the blooming thing and the best I can get is 2,488 lol
GOt a wheel? If so which one? Also, if you can hold a drift, turn on the racing line and try to drift on that, that line is where the points are made.

I was a wheeled vehicle mechanic and got assigned to Service and Recovery for 4-1 AD at Ft. Bliss. A few of us went out with the DATs in the M88 while they qualified. Afterwards they had a bunch of left over rounds that "needed" to be expended, so we got invited to fire a few. The feeling when that this fires is insane! Take the loudest, craziest subwoofer "thump" and magnify it by 10! Watching that breach slam back after firing is intimidating as well. Wanna be to be clear of that.

A TOW would be awesome to fire! I got to shoot the AT4 in basic. Didn't get to squeeze the claymore trigger though.
For those of you that are wondering, a DAT is a Distinguished Armor Technician. ;)

I think you're the third person I have seen that says they are having a hard time with the drift trial? Maybe I should hold a drifting workshop. I'm not the best teacher, but drifting is one of the things I am actually good at in this game.

Do you have any pointers for learning to drift with the DFGT wheel? The force feedback seams to make it imposible, so I use a controller.

Errr. sure, I guess if you are a Dumb @$$ Tanker, you would like to think that...:cheers:.

@Die_Birdy_Die check out this post. When I drift I use the "S" or "O" setting. Give that a try. And use something like a stock Silva or something to learn with. The Genki and s2000 Kinda suck for it, oddly enough. I actually like the FD Rx7 myself.

@McTrucker, I don't as I don't have any experience with it, however, try turning down the FFB sensitivity and all that it might help since you wont be fighting it so much when trying to counter steer.

I will have to try it. As I said usually I use the controller and the only times I actually drift is when it is a seasonal. Which is why I'm using the required cars if they ever make online drifting pay I might get better at it but for now it's only the seasonals

This one took me a while too... Used ds3 and the Falken rx7... It was pretty good for holding the drift, but hard to find the line for the second half of the sector. I would get 1,500 pts on the first turn, then like 400 after the transition!:grumpy::irked:

And, I was having a weird glitch when I switched from the wheel to the DS; the game wouldn't register my shifts on the DS. It kept tripple shifting and ignored the circle button/e-brake... Very frustrating!!

yeah i'm getting the trasition thing to so I will tap the ebake again which causes it to break even looser then all my racing experience tells me the car is out of control and I go to bring it back then spin out it's driving me nuts!

Beats having to walk everywhere carrying a ruck. Plus hot meals (MREs) every meal when there is no chow truck.:lol::cheers:

Edit: My husband was in 3rd ACR H Co. Just typing what he is telling me. I was in Supply

Ugh, the breakfast MRE is the WORST! My favorite was actually the tuna. Good stuff there. I was a mechanic though, I walked from my bay to my wrecker and threw the ruck in the back. Ruck marches are for PT and 11B's.

Edit: Oh man, that Cav aye? He do the spur ride?

Ahh, required cars. Sorry, not much in partaking in the seasonal events. Especially drifting. PD really has no sense of how scoring a drift event should work

if it's apart of the game and pays well so I'll do them. My new favorite is the 10 lap survival seasonal got to pick a car that doesn't need to pit or you will loose so I use the toyota ts030 or what ever it is. Wish they would do more like that instead of the stupid 5 lap shoot outs.

the race line on that track is a horrible drift line. after the first clipping point you are supposed to go high in the turn. here is a video that shows it.

i used the blitz and all i did was lower it and throw CH tires on it
