the race line on that track is a horrible drift line. after the first clipping point you are supposed to go high in the turn. here is a video that shows it.


i used the blitz and all i did was lower it and throw CH tires on it

is it just me or do they have better rmp range then we can get in gt. also the cones I want those in the game as well!

Army-wise, I played with some of the big CEV cannons a couple times, but after the small arms (almost all - M9/.45, M16A2, M249/M60, LAW/Dragon/TOW, and the wonderful Ma Deuce), my specialty - and I really loved it - was with:

Outside the army, I'm much more a 19th century guy - Blackpowder Cap'n Ball and Blackpowder cartridge, etc., but I have a wide variety of modern tastes and interests as well.

Haha, yeah, was just running the chapparal for a while getting used to it. I actually really enjoyed it. Coming out of the tunnel into that right kink (2nd use today!), because she was so fast you got a decent distance before you could actually see again. Couldn't beat @gotdirt410sp's time, but i'm going to have another bash later.

I'm liking having people on my friends list to race against on these seasonals (and licences). Makes them a little more interesting, for me anyways. I like to flick the ghost/lines on whilst on the straights...see how i'm doing in relation.

no abs to buddy go middle to high after long straight. the left hander is what im talking about before you go over bridge. and after the tunnel go over the curb you wont get a penalty

Might give it another go to see how much higher I can go. the understeer under acceleration is unreal, and it won't even settle if you ease off, so yoi have to be very confidentwith your throttle application.

318 corners in 11.2 miles from the TN/NC state line to Tabcat Bridge. Surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, no malls, no Starbucks, no cell service.

I may have posted this before...but just in case I haven't ....The state of Tennessee has recently banned 18 wheelers from The Dragon. Tennessee seems to have its Sierra all together in a small pile.

A personal note on how Tennessee treats it's 100% Disabled Veterans. Taxes are forgiven for my home and the property it sits on for my life and my wife's if she survives me ( she says survival with me is a daily chore ). They issued me a licence plate for each of my vehicles free with the same deal for SWMBO. Same with drivers license. Oh...and no income tax.

Love this place...if you are ever in this part world...take a ride down the Dragon...you will love it. If you show up very early as the sun peeks over the mountain you just might have it all to yourself.

You shouldn't emphasize a word with all caps either that's part of why I got banned. Which is total crap and proper use of informal grammar but still got the hook!

While I'm sure it's convenient for you to say you got banned for putting a word in all caps, that's a far cry from the whole story. The truth is, we went out of our way to help you after you had drawn the ire of GTP moderators for cursing, not once, but twice. When they reached out to you to remind you of the AUP, you replied to them with the most ridiculously immature rant daring them to ban you. They were about to oblige your request, but as a favor to you, I asked them to hold off so that I might have an opportunity to prevent you from getting banned. Therefore, I sent you the following PM on November 8th:

I hope you're having a good morning. Just wanted to reach out to you real quick to let you know that GTP moderators have briefed us on their conversation with you yesterday. I understand that you accepted responsibility for cursing, so thank you for that. However, I also understand that you refused to make any improvements to your grammar. The reason that's a problem is because that's at the very top of GTP's Acceptable Use Policy:

• You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

It's also worth pointing out that this rule is listed above the clause about offensive language. What I'm trying to emphasize to you is that it's a rule that is taken very seriously and it is policed accordingly. Fortunately, the moderators have reached out to us to see if we can convince you to use proper grammar going forward. I we can't, they will banning you from GTP I'm afraid.

I realize that you've already indicated to them that you're ready for a ban, and that you'll just find another way to get info from SNAIL. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. We run our league through GTP, so if you are unable to have two-way communication with us through this site, you will unfortunately not be able to race with us any longer.

My sincere hope is that you heed these warnings and accept the rules of the AUP, but if not, I'd like to thank you for being a part of our community for the last three weeks. If you do end up getting banned after your next post, please let me just say this (since we won't be able to communicate with you afterwards).. Yes, I know you're 32 and yes I know it's hard to change the way we do things after so many years. But just ask yourself one question.. do you really want to go through the rest of your life not using proper grammar?

If you live to be 100, that means you'll be on this planet for another 68 years. Do you really want to muddle through 68 years of poor communication skills? If so, this will affect many aspects of your life, for the rest of your life. Everything from your work, your perception by others, and even seemingly trivial things, like your ability to enjoy organized sim racing leagues. Is not hitting the shift key every once in a while really worth it? Anyways, I'll get off my soapbox now. I hope my message will get through to you as I'd hate for you not to be able to race with us anymore.

You never replied to my PM, but your grammar made a sudden improvement. It may have been a coincidence, but I'm betting it wasn't. More importantly, it showed that you were capable of adhering to the AUP after all. 👍

All of this eventually led to you being banned from the thread. Your response to that ban was interesting to say the least. And while I wouldn't normally publicly post something that someone said in private, you're apparently okay with doing that, so I'll do likewise and post some of your thoughts of the ban:

As for typing in all caps for one word and your personal Assertion to it being only used to yell that's your own damn belief and your damn problem I WILL take the ban. I will continue to type in the best way I see fit AND if you can't handle my lack of perfect bloody grammar you can take your 3 step use them how you see fit And ban me for it. Snail may be a good club with good racers but ITS not the only club out there! Hell even If I get banned from GTP with the new club feature I can find other clubs that run the exact same style of racing.

So there you have it. You promised you would never change and you challenged anyone who would listen to ban you. Your wish is our command.

We obviously don't agree on much, but if there's one thing I definitely agree with you on, it's that SNAIL is not the only club out there and that you can use the new club feature to find other clubs even if you were banned from GTPlanet. You definitely have a choice of who you race with. Fortunately for SNAIL, that's a two-way street. While you're on your one month vacation from the SNAIL thread, I encourage you to see what other leagues are out there that might be a good fit for you. Who knows, maybe you'll find another league so awesome that you'll forget SNAIL even existed. 👍
