Hey @Dragonwhisky, could I get the 411 on combo Practice Time Trials, I looked through the docs in your signature and searched the forum. No luck, I am still unsure about how to participate and how they work. Thanks in advance!
Check this post out. Had to dig a little to go find that. One of these days we'll have to work on getting all this stuff collected and put somewhere easier to find.

Ask and ye shall receive. That post added to the FUD along with the posts about wheel size.

If you don't have the FUD bookmarked already, do it now. The link is in my signature at the bottom of this post. You will find links to just about everything related to SNAIL there including the answer to the question, what are the track boundaries?

I respectfully disagree. The hairpin is not the only place to execute the pass. Getting OFF the hairpin properly and getting a nose in at the big left is where to overtake.
Unfortunately, you will be able to do that only if the person in front of you screws the airpin BIG time. Last night and the night before, I had the chance to do some laps both with slower and faster people and the car doesn't have enough power to overrun anyone along that straight unless, I repeat, you screw up the airpin BIG time.

Chase cam sees all:lol:

coughnotsimcough.. :)

Eh... I didn't say it would be easy. :) If anybody wants to work on nailing just one corner at D1 speed, I would suggest that one.

Never seen an accent translated to text before .... Schmiggz, its a hairpin!!
;)Just having fun buddy

That's funny. I LOL'd for real.

Pictures or it didn't happen.

I'll see your call... and raise you another. :)

Someday, after I hit the lottery, I'm going hunting for one of these.

For now though, I'll just have to call you with this pair. Long empty.

What AJ, the GTP Endurance boss, said about DART was that we were underdogs (Russ was amused) and worth watching and noted that we would import some young guns in the big races.

On another, more adult , topic (beverage that is).

From left to right: Austrian decanter....Bacardi Oakheart Spiced rum (cooking), Simon Pearce Decanter....single barrel Dickel Sippin Whiskey, Ships Decanter....Jim Beam Maple (best American aperitif) , Square French Decanter....Martini and Rossi Sweet Vermouth for Manhattans, and the Waterford Crystal Decanter (a wedding present from my wingman in 1975)....Harvey's Bristol Cream Sherry for SWMBO. The Adult Survival kit.

Just did a TT with the RUF at Tokoyo. 2 things I noticed straight away. The online car behaves quite a bit differently than it does in Arcade Mode TT. I found that my S/F line speed was slower but what was really different was braking. Braking points much later in the Community TT. In Arcade I was braking at nearly 200 marker vs 160ish on line. Anywho, probably stating the obvious of what you all already know. Maybe it is the combo. Which is fun as heck by the way.

Yes, arcade mode is not a good training tool. It's not the same. It's kinda common knowledge among the regulars. Now you know too!

The chicane is not the only spot. This track requires every available inch to be taken advantage of, especially with a car like this.

I'm reviewing my replays from last week to see where I screwed up can someone give me the link for penalties levels and how they are assessed post?

Anyone a member of CMBeal's Saturday Night Endurance Racing. I am hosting a 2 hour endurance at Spa Francorchamps, Mazda LM55 VGT, 651 PP. Time progression set at 3 with the track time at 14:30.

Thanks a bunch and what's the "last chance list"? (Please excuse my ignorance I'm new)

I have it in my signature as well @BustedFoSho. As @JLBowler stated, the majority of us will still ask before or even after reading the FUD post just to make sure we are reading into it correctly. Just PM someone about it or @JLBowler will keep putting people down and scaring off the others to ask anything if still unsure. As much useless chatter that goes on in this thread, it's sad that people have to be aprehensive about asking a question. If we are such a hassle and lack the part of the brain you speak of below, you should ask yourself why you're doing this? You sound iratated with everyone and everything?

Yeah, becasue a top of the page post, links to track boundaries, and pictures all worked so well in getting everyone to understand and abide by the rules at Ascari.

I will add in DW's post and my post about plus sized wheels to the FUD but I'll bet there are not a lot of people around here that actually use that document when they have a question.

It would appear, based on recent observations, that the part of the brain that makes one want to go fast is more influential in the decision making process than the part of the brain that reads, understands, and follows directions and rules in a majority of racers.
