As a track race sim fan I feel so cornered with granturismo right now and without valid options to my passion that it's really upsetting. As I've been watching (and drooling) hours and hours of i-racing videos on youtube I'm feeling more and more jaded with granturismo poor physics and poor engine/transmission sounds and tire over screaming and lack of numbers in every racing cathegory so I'm totally into the very next level of realism, something that right now only i-racing, assetto corsa or r-factor can provide but... this are all pc games and I don't own a pc anymore!
-"There are some amazing console games coming out", they say! Yes... forza, Need for Speed, Crew, etc... But these are all Paul Walker kinda stuff... street racing, drift, teenage power crap thingie! Nooo! That's not what I want! I want GT3's in Silverstone, Super V8's in Bathurst... not running from the cops!!!
There's a very big hype with project cars, an outrageous (so they say) racing sim coming out next March, 17. Usually, big hypes end up in some disappointment, GT6 people know this way too well, so let's wait another 2 months and see but, I definitely need to breath other air and, obviously, I sure need that granturismo 7 comes out absolutely out of this world.

I would like thank Snail for allow me to race. I find I have much learn to do and have list to practice for week ahead. I must be say sorry for start at race I will practice false start more in this week to not get in way and let pass. Thank you for fun time and help.

My PS4 is eagerly awaiting PCars and I hope it's good. If SNAIL feels there is sufficient support to run a PCars series on PS4, I will attempt to do both. I'm not a PC guy and really have no desire to utilize one for sim racing.

False starts are not used in SNAIL.

I myself am looking forward it also. I actually enjoy iRacing.

Considering I don't even use a rig yet, something like iRacing seems kinda over the top [for me]. What I enjoy most about SNAIL and sim racing is the close competition; more-so than the realism.

Iracing is cool and all but , $50 a year and $900(give or take) for all the cars and tracks:drool: , i cant afford that

I bought a big honkin gaming PC last year just for gaming, ah, sorry..... I mean simming. FSX, X-plane, asseta Corso and IRacing. I love Iracing and the way it is set up, but, I can't afford to run a season at 15 bucks a track. It seems most of the games I have downloaded from Steam have issues.
My main fun with the PC are my flight sims. Now that I have a powerfull enough machine to run at full resolution, the realism is out he door. Nothing like landing a DC-9 in low visability, crosswinds, and thunderstorms to get the spincter tight..... Or a sightseeing trip through the Alps in a small Cessna to relax. Aerobatics in a Pitts special over Niagra Falls. I have run every version of MS Flight Sim since the beginning and am still going strong. I wish I would have logged all of the hours spent on this.

Put I those terms looks expensive BUT, you think i-racing, you think career so, if your career choice is oval, you don't spend money on GT's or formulas, you know what I mean? So you don't buy all the cars and tracks, only those that fit your career choices. Then, if you want a full experience, well, there's a bit more expensive choice even though, i-racing frequently tosses real good deals so people can enjoy the fullest.
The thino is if you have to add a brand new pc price into the equation.

Spread out, or all at once, $100 for a handful of cars and tracks is a lot. I can't justify that much when factoring in how much time I'd actually be able to race. I had looked into iRacing a while back, when I was playing Live For Speed, but the cost is a lot. Yes, it's one of the better sims out there, but it still won't compare to real life. I'd still rather play GT for the massive amount of content in comparison, and spend the difference (considering how much I'd likely spend on iRacing, upwards of a few hundred) on some parts on my car and get it out on a real track.

Read my mind. I'm sticking with console sims and saving for a kart. :)

Plus, you don't have to buy everything at once...you can go easy, take your time and spread out the expenses.

Weve got issues with repetative cars now with over 1000 cars , . imagine the boredom with only 7 cars on 10 tracks( base package). Lol

I've been doing iRacing for the last 1.5-2 years. I think collectively I've only spent about $500-$550.

I'd likely spend the same amount. I'd much rather play GT, and spend that remaining $450-$500 on some brake pads, brake lines, approved helmet, and go out for smoe track days. Just my 2 Canadian pennies that don't exist anymore :P

60 tracks , 30 cars . $12 per car , $12-15 per track, + yearly membership... I get its good but for a full experience its not going to take long to add up

Linky link? I'm intrigued :D

I forgot to mention everything we own, we rent out to people who have completed DT. We also rent neck restraints better suited than a Hans device for open wheel driving, the page is a little old, but we have pamphlets on hand if you come out to the track that are up to date with what we have available. (Most of the cars we have were campaigned by drivers who went to the SCCA Runoffs numerous times, so they're no rinky-dink rides)

Edit: Oh yeah, and like us on facebook!
