I like to consider games like Mario Bros and Mega Man video games. Today's modern online gaming such as shooter and driving simulation in my eyes are no longer considered video games. To me they are strategy and skill based, like an animated moving chess match. And, I consider Gran Turismo, especially when ran within the SNAIL league, is as close as many of us can afford to get to competitive wheel to wheel racing. I call it virtual racing, not a video game. That's my take at 35, and even my wife has begun to understand it as a hobby, not wasted time.

..... she's a keeper

My wife used to throw that crap at me lots of times... "You're like a kid playing those videogames!" or "Don't you think you're a little too old for that?" but as time wend by she started to understand the difference between a video game and a simulator and Dragonwhisky's idea to get a feel of snailers ages was just brilliant.

@Dragonwhisky
I'm not sure about this... Everyone in D4 suggest a combo and then everyone from other divisions vote, right?

From the results post by @zer05ive :

PLEASE NOTE: Since @@IceManFan_7 has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 4 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D4 drivers from Sunday night start thinking about combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post it if/when @@Dragonwhisky give the "all clear". Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @@IceManFan_7 is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

That meant a suggestion in the thread. If you're having a "cahoots" discussion in your divisional thread, that's not recognized by the information above.

That is not nice user... If I was sure I wouldn't ask but no need to answer anyways. I'll figure it out
Dude , youve been here long before me and week to week you see and know where to find answers not to mention the multiple times today you were told how it works . come on man.
You think of your combo and everyone else in D4 think of a combo , when the all clear is given everyone start posting them on the main thread so Ice can choose one and get some practice rooms rolling

A few of us had the discussion at the bottom of the page where zero posted the results (2 pages back):

Once the all clear is given, each racer (apart from the prize winner) in D4 that raced on Sunday night is allowed to suggest one combo. I believe once all suggestions have been collected (JLBowler usually sets a deadline for submissions once the all clear is given), the prize winner chooses one of the combos, and that will be the new combo.

First night I got my wheel and finished welding my rig together, I put my dad into the Lotus 97T... (Huge Senna fan) I couldn't get him off the thing! Pretty sure he doubled my mileage on the wheel that week

I want to get a seat once I have more space. Something that can be moved easily since I only got one tv, lol. Friends have used my makeshift leather couch + aluminum stand rig and have had a ball with it!

I highly suggest making one as opposed to buying one if you have the resources to do so. It's much cheaper and a helluva lot more fun than buying one 👍

I've thought about it, but I want something I can easily move out of the way when I'm not using it, and I find most DIY rigs aren't as mobile as one I could buy. I haven't done a lot of research on it yet, because I don't have the space, but when it's time to pull the trigger, I'll look into it some more :D

My rig from waaay back in the day. They used to call me "Lawnchair Nuno" It was pretty ugly but it worked like a charm! Also, it was wife approved!

I recently bought one of these and a 10 dollar furniture moving dolly at Home Depot. When I need to move it I tilt it onto the dolly (on the chair back) and roll it away. Works well. Bob Earl is not going to make these anymore and he was selling them at highly reduced prices. Check out his website to see if has any more left if your interested. I have a 38ish inch monitor that I sit on a homemade stand over my legs, about where a windshield would be. Hope the info is useful.

Something like that would be great, considering the chairback folds down too, correct?

OK OK, freeze the RUF.... RUFF RUFF

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the all clear has been given yet.
