Just to lighten things up a little bit, here's a question for you fellow SNAILs, do you use custom music when playing GT6? If, so, what do you listen to?

I have 2 playlists, one for menus and other for races, in races I usually listen a mix of rock and metal classics with some retro-electronic like Perturbator or Kavinsky and the occasional Bach, or Mahler....
Yes, I have a playlist for racing.
Most of the songs are from pop-punk and punk rock bands like Sum 41 Green Day, The Offspring. When I'm doing the time trials I like to listen to female voices like Hailey Williams and Avril Lavigne, it really help to keep me calm and drive smooth :D

I think chimp spanner is a musical group... just looked it upon Youtube. At first I thought it was just another name for a monkey wrench :odd:

Yep. "Djent" is onomatopoeia for the heavy guitar sounds used by bands like Chimp Spanner of Meshuggah, usually really low tunings and 7 or 8 string guitars. It's also been adopted as the name of a whole Genre. Thanks, Obama.

Them silly young hipster kids. *shakes fist*

*goes back to listening to Animals as Leaders*

Oh ya baby, the "Rollercoaster at Shubie" aka AMP ! Raced there a few times over the years (motorcycles). One of my favorite tracks ever, just glad I never crashed there!
By the Time Labour-day 2009 rolled around my best Lap time was 1:18.277 on Falken Azenis 615's....but I think it was because Stu Mcrea had used traction compound in turns 9a and 9b........If you may know Stu?

I'm guessing you haven't driven this car on racing hard tires?

Maverick...I think you should use a lesser tire.....just at the rears maybe......handicapping is legal is some series isn't it? (intended to flatter)

Respectfully,

@aLmk This is what you have to choose from. One suggestion was disallowed due to the driver making multiple suggestions and not cleaning up those posts as requested. Please announce your selection here no later than 9:30 PM ET on Wednesday.

@A7XMaverick also has until 9:30 PM ET on Wednesday to pick a track for the LFA.
I choose the Ford GT '05 at Monza. It will be on race hard tires, post oil change PP/HP is 578/577 and I think mid divison times will be around 1:51-1:52.

I was just referencing the handling issues when this car is on racing tires instead of sports.
Maverick makes a great point... After doing a few laps on SS, the car is much more predictable in terms of handling, and he said, "drives as it should." Is it at all possible we use this car on Sport Softs instead of Race Hards? I think it will greatly improve the racing, especially in the mid to lower divisions (5-8).

You can always use a "lower grade" tire. Like run SM on the TVR rather than the SS.

Although I don't know you, here is your warm welcome back first post!

Interesting fact about the Ford GT!

When you paint it, it doesn't automatically put the racing stripes on like the SRT Viper. It stays how you bought it in the dealership! I'm thinking for this one car I'm gonna switch to Old Generation 004-W because it's very similar to Royal Blue but the stripes are white instead of black. Looks like a classic Ford.

Edit: Crap. Nevermind. Only works for the 2006 model. Really makes you go WTF that it's not on both)

All drivers in D6 are asked to pick a Prize A car/track combo for next Sunday. Deadline is 9pm ET Tonight. I already made my choice for car/track combo.

I'll try and get online and do some testing. Not sure if I will be able to though. If not, whatever is picked is what it is. I just wing it.
