Hosts are free to start the night's racing at the scheduled time. Good luck to everyone.

There are a couple of rooms close to full. If they fill between now and race time and you can't get in, you should have been on time.

So, those posts a couple weeks ago with people showing their rigs got me to get up and do a little more work on mine. As I've mentioned I plan on getting into some of these nice space sims soon and needed a more versatile setup. Got a few more things to add. The main two being sound/tactile and a table on the left side for the throttle controller. The plan there is to hook up a jack from some hatch glass and get a couple of door catch and latch mechanisms to make a sort of "door." That's for another rainy day though. for now, here is a glimpse of what it was, and what it is now.

how do I join the fun?

@Hoe_Cakes_

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @Dragonwhisky, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

If your getting a PS4 are you getting P cars? If so we got a club for that! lol

I've heard about and seen some controversial things on the official PCars forums involving the Game Director Ian Bell so I think I'll skip out on that one until things clear up. Maybe one day.

EDIT: I do have Shift and Shift 2 from Slightly Mad Studios though so I have no real grudge against them.

Dude, those screws protruding out from the pedal box are terrifying! Remind me to stay at least an inch and a half off your bumper

It's a good game. It looks and sounds fantastic, and is extremely immersive depending on the view you choose. Online has gotten a bit better, but is still a little buggy, well the whole game has bugs but they've been pretty quick with fixes. My only gripe (and it's really more personal than anyting to do with the game) is that's it's significantly more difficult than GT6, at least with a controller. I just practiced the same combo for like 90 minutes and still can't drive anywhere near as consistent (or fast, relative) as I can in GT6. It's a bit frustrating. Nearly makes me want to shelve it until I can have a rig..

I find P Cars is much more difficult to be consistent, but I wonder if it's because of the number of factors that play into the performance. Track temps, tire temps, tire condition, they all play into performance significantly, and when driving on the edge, it can be fine one lap, then suddenly let go the next in similar conditions. GT6 was easy to get into a groove and start to mindlessly lap away posting consistent times over and over, but P Cars, you have to be thinking 100% of the time, no matter how well you know the track.

If its in regards to the Wii issues. Seems to be an over blown issue by some butt hurt individuals.

They are bolts, and they are why I am so good at.cat and mouse. I actually have a plan to use them once I get the audio pieces.
