I have an observation.
I was looking at the vote count when I noticed that nobody in Div 1 voted to eliminate round one, which in my opinion ( and we all know opinions are like _ _ _ holes...everybody's got one) was the easiest combo.

This begs the question .......Are the "SNAILIENS" losing their nerve?
Or are they just trying to be nice to us mere mortals? :odd:

The first combo had the best racing, it was a lot of fun being able to actually go two or three wide and get away with it. Plus I got two podiums there so I cant vote for that one haha

Here is the track that i have picked for this coming sunday combo via: prize A

I have at this point come up with 3 cars that I think are all excellent choices. I haven't decided on which one to take at the moment. In an effort to see what SNAIL racers would be interested in using, I want to make 3 posts. In each post 1 of the 3 cars will be displayed. simply like the car that you would want to use on this track. I have tested them all out and found them all to be fun and offer a different element. And I can honestly say I would be satisfied with anyone of them. In a few hours I'll check and see what you guys have picked and go with the one that has the most likes under it. you can pick multiples But I suggest only going with one. everyone doesn't have to like a car I'm only going with what I see over the next few hours. At around 7 my time Mtn standard) we will go ahead with the selection choice for the combo via: prize A

recap:
view the next three posts showing 3 cars 1 car in each post
like the one you want for the combo
wait to see which one gets the most likes by 7 mtn standard time tonight.

Has anyone ever brought a car back? In my time here in SNAIL I don't think I've seen it happen. Yes, there are so many cars to choose from so I get the mentality of "why not pick something new?" but sometimes a car is great and lasts for weeks only to be voted off by poor track choice. Have any prize winners had that thought run through their head?

Some cars were a lot of fun and there are many more tracks to take them to. The X-BOW getting voted of made me think of what other cars were generally well received by most. There was also the Caterham Seven Fireblade, the GT500 cars, LCC Rocket, and the Camaro RS to name a few. They all provided great door to door racing in all divisions, but still haven't seen their full potential. Would it be frowned upon to repeat a car? What are your thoughts on this?

Discuss!

I think you have to look at the voting process systematically. When drivers vote, they're voting to drop an entire combo, not just the car or just the track. That is the main objective of the voting process. The fact that the "runner up" combo is put into a position of choice is a mere sidenote of the main intention. It's simply a result and that's it. True, fun cars get voted off due to being part of a "bad" combo, but at the end of Sunday. The "bad" combo is what the system is looking for. It becomes found and goes away. The option has always been there for something to be returned, but I think it would certainly be faux pas to do it. It would essentially be a slap in the face to the group's majority that week. Now bring back a car at a later date, even if it's only a couple weeks later at a different track... I see no big deal there, but I wouldn't revive is combo that has just been voted off. I think that would simply be in poor taste whether it's allowable or not.

I mean after some time, not bringing it back the next week. Would that be a faux pas?

I don't know when you joined, but the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 '11 was used in Feb/Mar 2015 and came back in Nov 2015

Those were cars that were repeated a lot. I'm talking about cars that were around for awhile, then gone, then back after some time.

Yea, the Senna F3 was a hoot!
that F3 car was so much fun testing but you can't modify it with anything in anyway. ruined it for me. I sure hope they add more in GT7 and make them modifiable. You gotta have the ability to change things up to make them your own. its part of the experience. And who doesn't love to color and upgrade S***.
