I made my own typo with the original mid div lap time. :boggled:
Yeah, 1:13 had me wondering where I was losing 15 seconds...Thanks Mike :P

We tested the 350Z out on SM tires.
I assume That's just a banner typo 💡

Average Mid-Divison laps will be in the region of a 1:27.000 (+/- .5)

Ok, I will update the sheet tonight. Looks like it will be 8 laps now.

Ah that's better. For the record, when I tested the TT, doing total practice time was 15 minutes and I had a 1:27.6, but was getting laps with -0.5 but messing up the end...so I would concur that mid-div drivers should definately be in that range if they practice at all.

Well I think I've found one of the reasons, maybe "the reason," why I was consistently two seconds off pace every time I raced or did a trial; always two seconds. The potentiometers in my pedals were spiking, particularly the throttle pedal, so I had to clean them (they were super rusty). They seem to be working fine now. I'll have to run the time-trials to see how I fare with my pedals working properly. Hopefully I'll be competitive now. :)

Same thing happened to me some.months back. I then found this mad scientist type here that made magnetic ones and so my cleaning days are over.
Just waiting for the G29 to arrive to see if I can do the same to them...

Hey, so there's a new seasonal up that looks like an easy to way to start making millions and on a fun track. GT500 at Nordschleife, 1 lap, no weather change, $500,000.

My question to the group is this: when doing seasonal events to you stay in the SNAIL mentality and keep your car stock or do you tune to the max allowing for an easy win no matter what?

If it allows me to tune, I tune the 🤬 out of it!

Despite me being in D1, I tune the crap out of it. As long as it doesn't cost too much. If I can I use the fastest car in the game, the SRT Tomahawk, as nowadays PD is putting either very high PP seasonals or no PP limit seasonals.

Nah... I used to tune 'em but SNAIL made me lazy.... just let it rip as is. The "beginner" and "intermediate" races I usually go way under the PP limited to provide somewhat of a challenge to myself. Usually at least 50PP under the limit.

Hey fellow racers, there have been a lot of inquiries into the Ultralight flying that Steve,(Aero) and I are and were into.
Www.challenger.ca is the best website for any information on the planes we used to own and fly. Steve has built 5 or6 of these things and is known as one lf the best builders in our area. That's how we met, I rue that day. He has since moved on to building "real" airplanes.
Anyway, I owned my own plane for 10 years and steve was my go to guy...sheep issues aside, for repairs and advice. My problem was after 5 or 6 emergency landings, I got a little scared and instead of enjoying my flights, I was always listening for another problem that would force my down. I took the plane out of service to re-skin and rebuild from the ground up. Worked at Aero's shed, took two years to complete. Brand new airplane that was not purple and pink....long story..... I flew it back to my home field and sold it. The guy who bought it did not insure the plane and a super rare tornado ripped through the airport 2 weeks later. Guess which plane was ripped from the tie downs and destroyed.....yep. The brand new Challenger 11. Steve was the one to call me to let me know how lucky I was and how unlucky the other guy was. I wish I still had pics. It was ugly.

I only tune it for the Advanced level, but don't put on aids like SRF. For the beginner and intemediate levels, I use Snail settings. For the GT300 on Motegi I actually kept the SS tires on my Subi and still won easily.

I battled my butt off with a GT500 Supra on the Nurb. The faster I go, the faster the No1 car goes - loose by 3-4 seconds every time. At one point I gain 7 seconds on my previous best and still can't get first place - still 3 seconds behind. I changed to a Honda HSV base model and won on the first try in a slower time as with the Supra - explain that to me.

Also, on the nurb, when I cross the line my lap time flashes up as 6:40.xxx, but on the result screen my time comes up as 7:04.xxx

I occasionally add parts to the car I'm trying the seasonal with but I usually try and find a lower pp(slower) car. The car I pick is usually one that not many racers, if any at all, would think to do it with.

I do something similar. For beginner, I use the control. For intermediate, no tune. In both, no bumping, no OOB, etc.
For expert, it's balls to the walls. Tuning, bumping, pushing, whatever it takes.
Also, I only race the ones that have a good prize nowadays. If the gift car and/or the paint chip aren't good, then screw it...
