Ford GTs both had gearbox issues? I remember the start one was in 6th by accident right?
"electrical gremlins"
I'm quite the opposite... I would much rather have Justin Bell, Dorsey Schroeder, and Calvin Fish on the broadcast... These RLM guys and their pit reporters suck
Yeah IMSA isn't the best at pit reporting but they do do a better job at on track stuff.

That guy must have great advertising personnel to get his name on so many things. On the show they just show that he expanded to a bar & grill, then a larger restaurant with a live music venue. Then he did the drag racing thing. Guy likes to spread his money around A LOT

I like it.

If history repeats itself, Ford will fail miserably this year, start next year off well but be just as bad the rest of it, then win four years in a row, 2018-2019-2020-2021

I really need a modern computer. I've been using my phone to stream the race but it started getting too hot and giving me warnings, and it was using the battery so fast it was barely charging. Gotta take a break to let it cool down and charge a bit then watch some more before sleep

Hello,

Making this post to show interest in joining SNAIL, i've took a read at the rules, and i should do this to find out which division i might be in, and wait for instructions after this first post. I won't lie either and say i am new to GTP, this account might be, although, since 2nd March, 2013 i've been banned for bad behaviour. So, i don't know what you guys expect, but i won't be posting around, as the only reason of this account is to join SNAIL.

Thanks in advance.

@Dark_ZR1

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

FMA fan by chance?

Btw to everyone. Once division placements are out Ill be opening a practice room since the d24 has kept me busy.

While drinking my morning coffee and surfing the web I came across this video that I would like to share and thought would make for an interesting discussion
Although it's absolutely heart wrenching to watch it does illustrate how far safety has come in motor sports.
If you watch to the very end it really puts things into perspective.

Yes the worst part is by today's standards he probably would have easily survived.
Nowadays In some cases I've seen the safety personnel get there before the car even comes to a rest!!!

And hats off to David Purley....He tried so hard to save his friends life!!!
I'm sure he was haunted by that the rest of his days.

Yea look at memo gidley, it wasn't a flip or a fire like that but still a very hard impact and they had people out to him before the red flag was dropped and people had time to even slow

You can feel the tension from his body language. I feel for him and all involved in bad situations like this cause this is not what anyone wants to see on race day.

Safety standards have of course come a long way. Even Dale Sr. would like be alive today if he had a HANS or similar head and neck restraint.

Wow, that sure made for a somber finish to my morning coffee! We sometimes forget how far safety has come. Just could not imagine being in Purley's shoes that day.

Fast crew right there. But without a couple lucky yellows I don't see them even getting on the lead lap.

Edit: nope 6 laps down

EDIT II: ESM penalized Wayne Taylor has an ocean between them now!!!!

Wow  not anymore
