It seems Nissan is scaling back their racing programs significantly. Maybe their just not getting back what they thought they would. I mean jeez... their road cars are awful to look at IMO. The only ones that invoke any sense of excitement are the most impractical options. If the new Prius didn't look like it got smacked in the nose with a 500lb fly swatter I'd say the Nissan van is the ugliest thing on the road, but that's just me.

I still love me a mid 90's 300 though.. :)
That's where my gamer tag and gtp I'd come from. I had a 93 300zx and loved it.

I may not be able to race this Sunday which is a bummer, this week's combo's really suit my driving style. The sweet little wifey asked if we are doing something "romantic" this Sunday for Valentines Day. I suggested how about watching me race.... The look I got made me reconsider.... I would really really like to be able to race again.........

You need to come back with a suggestion of breakfast or brunch. Maybe throw in a trip to a shoe store. That way you can be a good husband on Valentines Day and still race.

This is for the Race of Champions

We are trying to reschedule the Race of Champions for this Friday (Feb 11) after the disaster with PSN Network last week

The Z32 300zx is a severely underrated car, a friend of mine has one. Amazing cars. People think they're "heavy" because in the early 90s a 3200lb sports car.. was pretty heavy, nowadays it's a lightweight. And the drivetrain can handle an amount of power that most people would think you were lying if you told them. Same for the VG30DETT on stock turbos and injectors. (~430whp with just software and very minor hardware changes).

The rear wheel steering (Super HICAS, same as the R-32 GT-R) makes it able to make really tight low-speed corners way faster and with less scrub than seems possible for such a wide car. Its actually a weird feeling how flat they stay and how tight you can turn on the limit at low speeds. It almost feels like spinning in place (but I'm exaggerating)

At higher speeds it still changes direction quickly and stays pretty flat, but they can get snappy unless it's the 2+2 with the longer wheelbase.

Really long gears, too.

^that's the one I've had the privilege of driving a few times.

(I actually kind of think they're better than the NSX, but i've never driven one so..)

My GT Planet name is the same as my PSN name. Only difference is the R and C are in capital letters on PSN, all lowercase on GTP.

I frickin love that car so much. It's on my short list of childhood cars I loved as a teen. They still pull a pretty good dollar too. Maybe some day... after my beloved 928 S4.

Ah man I love the 300 and the Datsun 280 there. Reminds me of wangan midnight. I didn't have the model that had rear steering but it didn't matter it was stuck to the road like glue. It was actually very hard to get that car to want to throw the rear around. And redline @ 6900. She was my baby but I have to part with her about 1.5 years ago. And the guy I sold her to got pulled over not a month later for doing 145 in a 45. Somehow got a slap on the wrists. Then a few months later, preceded to just do doughnuts until he broke a rod through the side of the block. I've watched that car go from my baby to trash in less than a year.

WARNING:
Don't sell cars to friends if they have any sentimental value to you as they may say they care and they'll take care of her. But in honesty they're there for themselves not you. It's like watching the lifespan of that car in fast forward. It kinda reminds me of this.

I need to take a road trip in my 350z, to add to your other two in the picture. South Carolina sounds really good with the cold we are having this week.

So I'm gonna be getting a Logitech dfgt wheel within the next week (a friend of mine is being kind enough to give it to me) any suggestions on learning to race on a wheel?

Okay thank you. I was thinking of taking a week or two off of snail to learn anyways. But that isn't till atleast next week. I'm still racing Saturday and Sunday

Consider changing up Degrees of rotation, *

(Instructions for changing them with DFGT can be found in Google)

and also ask around what numbers people use for their driving options wheel settings.

The numbers for force feedback torque
& force feedback sensitivity

Located at the bottom of the driving options menu

Welcome back to racing everyone....good luck and drive wise!!!

And on that note I'm going hunker down with the Mrs tonight and try to stay warm. We have gotten an extreme weather warning... Minus 40 degrees tonight. :nervous:
I'll be dreaming of palm trees and warm southern shores!!!

i would like to join the league how do i sign up
thanks my ps3 name is singlepaddy

That was 2yrs ago and I have to say I don't regret joining this league one bit!!!

This is a league that crosses all borders and is run by a group of "hard working" dedicated individuals with a passion for racing, and for that I applaud you all....

As for my own experience...no complaints. No matter what division I've been in ( as high as div 4 and as low as div 8 ) it's always been great racing. I'm sure I ruffled a few feathers along the way but I'd like to think any issues have been quickly resolved.

I've raced against a lot of people here and have had some great battles and a lot of smiles and laughs along the way. And that's the best part....the people I've met here.
Although I've never met any of you in person I do consider a lot of you my friend.

So here's to good times, good racing and good friends...
