Yeah, it's been rough here as well. Over 38° Celsius all week, I'm running out of shorts to wear....

I feel your pain FlipJ, Its been around 86 F here. I may have to buy some more shorts and T shirts!!:lol:

If you guy's haven't been told today, then consider yourselves told!

Those are Golf mirrors. 44cm's (17 1/2") and still coming down. It really doesn't bother us up here, not like we're gonna call in the military, lol.

Have had this car picked for a while IF I ever won anything.

Thought seriously about taking this car to Matterhorn Short Track tons o fun but probably not good racing.

@JLBowler .. You might check to see if the other Garaiya 08' has the same specs .. I did not look.

Great choice and congrats grandpa. On a side note, I quite like the short matterhorn and have been waiting for some one to bring us there. Over two years and I don't think weve done any of the variations of matterhorn(maybe one time)

Hey SNAIL racing crew. I'm new to GT Planet, but not new to GT. I've been playing since the beginning using a dual shock but have finally upgraded to a decent wheel and pedal set up and have been playing on that for about 6 months. I can't believe I waited this long!

Anyways, I'm looking to find races (and racers) that take this fun seriously. I'd like to request to join the league and start racing some new friends. From what I've read I just need post here and await instructions. Looking forward to learning more. In the meantime, I'll finish reading all of the great documentation about the league rules, etc. Thanks!

@nmcp1 will be with you shortly with all the info you need.

Haha, I like the prompt sarcasm. I've gotta run to the store anyways. I'll check back in a bit.

Honestly, it's not even meant to be sarcastic lmao.

@nmcp1 is famous far & wide for how quickly he dishes out the Official SNAIL Welcome messages

We're talkin, a 5 min response time would be considered "unsatisfactory" at best.
Compared to his normal, rediculously-quick standards

Oh, it's definitely not sarcasm, it's god-honest admiration for what can only be black magic.

While we will shall see if @FlipJ is right about active volcanos... or torrential snow fall slowing Nuno's response,

-my theory is that he's out celebrating a great result in the European Champions League for his fellow Portuguese!!

Possibly with a half dozen brews at the local Benfica club :cheers::cheers::confused::dunce:👍👍

@JFlagg_PGH

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Torrential downpour of lava and toxic gases in an active volcano, while celebrating a Benfica win, could probably slow him down....

EDIT: guess the lava rain stopped enough for internet connection to fire up.

It's been HALF AN HOUR! Somebody needs to go check on him

He's a wizard with the welcome posts.
He's probably under 100 feet of snow or inside an active volcano, desperately trying to get a bit of reception on his phone. Once it gets on, he'll send your welcome post and then dial 911...

Honestly, it's not even meant to be sarcastic lmao.

Such a beautiful car. I've been waiting t use it too. Should be fun

OK, fellow Canadians...so are we all crashing at @Alex ONeill 's place or at @FlipJ 's? Don't worry guys, it'll only be for the winter...that's only like 10 months a year. Seriously, why my Father's family left the Caribbean to come to Canada, I'll never understand.

I have room for a few as well. Remember to bring your race rigs, we can all pitch in on a T1 connection!!
