As my first complete combo, i'd say i am very pleased to participate. Even though we experienced a lot of trouble with PSN while setting up the room, resulting in a short grid, the races were very fun and challenging.

Looking forward for next sunday. Hahaha

Edit: Quick off-topic question, do you guys have any sort of Facebook group/page? Whatsapp group? General Snail or D2 only?
 
Disaster of a night for me. Despite clearing cache, numerous reboots and many attempts I couldn't rejoin the room and for the first time in two years I was forced to pack it in for the night while racing continued on. I was in and could see everybody until Dark_ZR1 joined so we both left the room. He managed rejoin but I couldn't.

Does anyone have any information as to what's causing this recent psn instability? I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Edit: I don't see a score for quiltingchloe. Was he dropped also? FUBAR night!

Same result for me @turnupdaheat, except I couldn't see @MajorBlixem so "I packed up the cars and went home."

I have no fix for these issues, but I wish someone does. It is very frustrating.

PSN better get their s.... together. My routine last night was no different than any other Sunday night. Reboot modem, router and PS3, clear cache and create room. The last 2 week's we had no issues, We even finished before 11:30 EST every week.

Last night was a disaster. We tried 4 different hosts. Eventually JamCar had a stable room but Coach couldn't see me...

This sucks big toes!

Results haven't been moved to the data folder yet. This is most likely due to the fact that D2 has not entered any results from last night.

Edit: It would appear that they are being entered right now.
 
D2 data has been added to the spreadsheet. Sorry I wasn't able to complete it last night, but we ran just a bit late due to the rampant network issues, and it was way past my bedtime.

It was really a shame we weren't able to have as full a room as was desired, with @turnupdaheat , @AlexMk7 and @5150S2K all receiving the "Network incompatibility" error message while attempting to join. Hopefully the issues will be sorted before next week.

Is this the first major sign of GT6 dying? I sure hope not. There better be a huge crowd tonight at Pack Racing to make up for it. C'mon guys!

Q C was in the same situation you were. He simply couldn't get back in. It's like PSN has cancer and its now terminal. It seems like it's getting worse. I decided to call into Playstation today to see if there was any information and possible solution to these network outages and random disconnects. ( I know I know its like calling a DR for help right after a ten car pile up)
I want to encourage everyone who reads this from snail to do call in and post in the forum link (that I will post here.) And file a complaint / inquiry as well as post about the issues we are seeing. Make sure you are specific to GT6 (and or any other games you might be noticing the issues with.) We want to try to specify the area of concern as much as possible so IF there is something that can be done about it. Then they will be able to do it.

It might be a long shot and it might not do anything. I feel however that we at least have to try who knows maybe we will get lucky and there is a fix for it in some way. sigh....anyways. here is the phone number to call playstation and inquire

PSN random disconnects and incompatibility errors in GT6 online community play. What is going on?!?

I am trying to find some answers as to why the PSN netork at certain random times becomes unusable. We have noticed the issues while trying to play online with GrandTurismo6. This problem seems completely random but significant enough to completely shut down online playability.

The issue:
when you enter into the community online play and setup a room to race in. you will, at times when the PSN network is starting to glitch. Be kicked off of the PSN entirely. Or if you aren't signed out. you will not be able to get into rooms without first attempting to join countless times. Once in the room(if you are one the lucky ones) you won't be able to see some players and of course this will force you to have to leave the room and try again to rejoin. Which then starts the whole series of problems all over again. It seems very random and is happening to different people at different times and in different area's all over north america.

we are in a league called SNAIL to summarize SNAIL is a racing league on the PSN. Hundreds or racers every week come together every sunday to compete in a friendly but competitive racing league.

These disconnections and random drops from PSN are constant and seem to be getting worse over the last couple months. I have posted in our SNAIL forums for others to also post their issues in there area's effected as well. It has become a big enough problem that I (and many others) feel something needs to be addressed if possible. Or at least some answer as to why these are occurring so often.

Alot of attention to details goes into setting up SNAIL for clean smooth online play. We at SNAIL all understand to run a hardline while online. To clear the cashe in game and to make sure router traffic isn't an issue. We set up designated hosts for events who have better tthen average internet connections with respect to DL , UL , and ping ratings. All in an effort to avoid problems like the one currently mentioned above.

It would be greatly appreciated by hundreds of racers and peope alike im sure. If we could at least get some answers as to why the PSN network seems to almost shut down or simply stop working properly. The problem is constant and needs to be addressed or solved if at all possible.


Lets hope for the best and see if something can be done about the issues. Again I know this is a long shot but I feel like we have to try something. Because standing around watching this go on and on is maddening and getting old really fast!

A few of us had some problems with some PCars lobbies on the weekend, getting dc'd out of room's. This was the first time I have seen that in the time I have been on the PS4. Totally not acceptable as you have to pay to be online with the PS4!

All the more reason to find some answers to to start addressing the issues with someone that hopefully can help. I can say without question that is these issues continue into PS4 I would smash this console into a million pieces and go xbox1. You are totally right, it is unacceptable on any network. If you offer it as a service to play online and it doesn't work properly then something needs to be done. Especially if we are paying for it. PSN needs to answer this problem with some clear understanding. I don't think we are being unreasonable at this point.

you should reply to my post on the psn forum about that aerolite. Show that the problem seems to be showing up on ps4 as well. the more attention this gets the better chance we have of it reaching the right people that might have a solution.

I just got off the phone with Sony and have filed a complaint. Unfortunately I'm not at home right now so I wasn't able to go through the typical trouble shooting with them.

the "trouble shooting" is mostly for isolated issues people might be having. Sadly the best way to go after you call is to post in the PSN forum (link is in my post above) and either add to my post or draw up another one. The Rep I spoke with says that the phone call in will be linked with your forum post and will help to draw more attention to the matter. He said the only real way in reaching PSN IT is by going through this painstaking process. :( And we will mostly likely still be S.0.L.

Thanks Alex for getting involved. I'm hoping all who have experienced this will call and post. It seems to be a pretty huge issue. Im sure others outside of our world would also start to inquire if we get enough attention for this.
