So before it was Tuesday. Now it's Wednesday. It's good I now know the difference. :) We had some freezing rain, followed by snow, but it was forecasted to be worse than it really was. The commute in was better than normal.

The stewards have completed enough reviews to confirm the prize winners for this week. Thank you to all the stewards that jumped on these IRs and got them reviewed in a very timely fashion.

The prize B winner is @mrnascar242424 . He will first have the option to use the freeze or pass it to the prize C winner and is on the clock as of right now.

The prize C winner is @o8_jedi . He is awaiting a decision from the prize B winner.

Deadline for prize B winner to make a choice to use the freeze or pass it is 10 AM ET Wednesday morning.

Both confirmed prize winners have been included in a conversation notifying them.

o8_jedi has already ended up with prize B once in the month of February. If he were to end up with it again, it would immediately turn over to suggestions from his division with him choosing from those suggestions.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it feels like we're doing this voting process more than usual lately. It's frustrating when you see someone put time and effort into Sunday night only to not even check the thread the rest of the week. I wonder if @mrnascar242424 even knows he won a prize. :indiff:

They were both sent a PM yesterday when the initial update as posted. I also sent them an email (to the email we have on file) a few minutes ago. We'll see if it makes a difference.

I think some people don't understand the flow of the forum when hey first start. It is a bit tricky to navigate at first. I was lucky in that I was able to bounce a couple hundred questions off of Mark. To figure it all out. Perhaps a 5 min tutorial from a current member given to a new member would help? Or something to that effect.

Maybe a reminder when everyone is in the room before race time starts that they need to watch the thread. In the days after Sunday racing to watch for what combos are being selected and in case they have won a prize.

That, or perhaps people who don't bother to follow rules lose priority seating in their division. Or some kind of penalty or warning for not being responsible.

When you sign up to race in the league. You are in a sense saying with your actions that you want to race / play by the rules. To then not pay attention to what is going on in between race times is disrespectful to everyone involved and should be treated as an infraction of some sort. Kinda like being late. Although I don't know how this would be implemented. It just seems like something is needed for people who don't bother to figure things out.

Hypothetical question. If say o8_jedi were to announce what he wanted to freeze @ 9.59pm ET tonight would that mean mrnascar242424 would have to read and react within a minute to post his choice?

I hate to speculate, but by JLBowler's tone, I'd say yup - he gets one minute.
 
Papa Mango here with his weekly report.
First of all I am going to throw some shade at my beloved PSN. I have been a playstation fan since I got my first ps1. Their position was not helped by the fact that the same issue was happening across the board from GT6 to PCars and the fault was due to no fault of ours, the loyal supporters of PS. To me it seems to be a seasonal thing around the cold winter times for the northern hemisphere. Last winter I remember similar issues which seemed to quietly disappear over summer. Now I am no 7 o'clock weather man so I may be wrong here.:odd::odd:
Hopefully the geek gods on Mount PSN will sort things out so us mere mortals can dream of being legends.

That being said I had very little confidence in my talent as a sim driver to have a good night as you will see.
I had no meaningful practice runs as PSN was just so unreliable, I tried running in free run mode but that was not enough as I gained very little experience running in a pack which showed on the night. How ever division 5 as always was a hoot.

So for this week I have 2 videos. The first one is with the help of @The_Regzz who provided the pictures from all combos of the night showing great battles and making it easier for me to put the slideshow together by providing helpful comments with the pics:cheers::bowdown::gtpflag: and my 9year old girl helping with the ''hi mate'' intro :lol::lol:. The second is typical Eng stuff.

ps. for those interested, live performances of artists can be found on youtube with their own channels and drum covers of many popular songs from rock to pop.
 
While we wait for the last car to be announced, here is an update of a piece of useless information I posted previously.

I looked and the top 20 manufacturers with the most appearances in SNAIL and calculated their survival rate (meaning that when we have a high survival rate, the models for that manufacturer survive the voting process more than other manufacturers, or a specific model returned a few times)

Pretty sure that would be @Handlebar ... Do not believe he has ever won a prize. Could be wrong....

I will have been here 2 years this week , I finally won a prize 2 weeks ago ...

Hmm, good question Paddy. In the 3 years i been with Snail, if i remember right, i have been able to pick i believe 2 or 3 times.
