So save ten bucks and get the Logitech equipment. Only downside is that it doesn't have sequential and can't be used on PS3. So I'm gonna buy the upgraded wheel and not be able to use all of it. I'm a serious nit-picker for realism and I use the shifter on my DFGT for all cars that aren't flappy paddle. Forcing to use the paddles on all cars, even a 90s Silvia or something like a 70's Mustang will just seem strange. In my opinion.

OR

$300 for a G27. Have a lot of people done that hack upgrade thing? How much is it? Is it fool proof or what's involved? I don't want to risk anything.

Don't buy old equipment to do a hack with and the G29 is able to be used on the PS3 either that or wolf was mistaken last night

G29 and t300 work on both systems
The shifter? All I'm asking about is if the G29 shifter works with PS3.

I bought a new power cable for the DFGT and it will arrive on Monday. 14 bucks. If that's not the fix then I'll return it and be on temporarily leave from SNAIL until I can save for a G29.

You have already asked this question and I answered, also I just updated the "hack upgrade thing" a couple of days ago in this thread. There is enough posts about it already, do some research if you're really interested.

A full G29 rig works on the PS3. Their are conflicting stories as to whether or not the G27 shifter works on the G29 or not I personally wouldn't buy a G27 shifter to work with the G29. If you are going to buy the G29 anyways either use the flappy paddles until you can afford the G29 shifter or wait until you can get the full G29 rig.

Thrustmaster has better pedals and the shifter does both styles. Hmm... Thrustmaster it is, just hope they don't fail

I'm gonna wait and get the full rig G29+Shifter all together. Sounds like the best deal.

Now that's what I call covering all bases. Suggest you flip a coin to decide. Heads for T300 and tails you lose for G29.

My T300 has been great since I figured out I needed to tighten the rim face (the six hex key bolts on the face), more precise and powerful than the G27. My G27 still has a lot more miles logged on it so far, though. So we'll see if the T300 hangs in there. Also I do miss having the G27 shifter when I play DiRT Rally... especially if I ever want to skip gears or quickly find reverse...

I have the G29 with the shifter that was bought seperately. It does not work on GT6 because it is recognized as a DFGT. I read that if PD made an update similar to the update inclusion of the t300, it would work on PS3.

:cheers:3 years being with Snail:cheers:
3 years to this date, i signed up to be with Snail after receiving the invitation on PSN. It is interesting the people i have raced against in these past 3 years, both current and older drivers alike. Always to thank @kcheeb @OwensRacing @Dragonwhisky @zer05ive for your help getting me to Snail and Kcheeb's video on youtube showing how to upload race replays to the folders and Dragon helping me to get access to the public folder to do the uploads. Always been a blast racing so many over these 3 years including @thorracing @AJKVail @TEX36 @singlepaddy @CanuckleheadII @kendawg and so many others on the track. I have learned so much respect on the track even with it being online racing. Hell more better than single player i can tell you that. Also want to thank all the new drivers to Snail i have raced against including @DesertPenguin09 @Jaguara @mrnascar242424 @Mike Lobban @Alex ONeill and so many other new drivers i have raced on the track.

I have and always will be grateful for being invited to a very respectful, online racing league and will always work to help Snail continue throughout the years. Family + SNail = Snamily :lol:

Looking forwards to another year with Snail. Thank you everyone.

Also other Honorable mentions is @JLBowler for his work being a steward and the hours he puts in to division placement not just each week but each month as well. Also thank you @nmcp1 and all the stewards. Honorable thanks to @Nail-27 for helping me take over the Pack Racing Series. Just so many names of people that i cannot think at the top of my head but i appreciate everyone here at Snail for a job well done.

The steward summary has been posted and can be found here. The results are now considered official and can be found here.

Four drivers raced their way off probation this week.

  1. Are you dedicated to racing within the confines of the SNAIL OLR, with the highest level of sportmanship?
  2. Can you commit 1-3 hours, or more, a week, to SNAIL, over and above what you may already be commited for?
  3. Do you possess the necessary equipment to view and edit Google Documents and Spreadsheets, download and transfer replay files for viewing?
    1. Computer
    2. USB Flash Drive
  4. Do you have the fortitude and stamina to expose your opinions regarding your peer's, friend's and league member's on track behavior?
If you answered yes, without qualification or hedging, to all of the above questions, please consider volunteering to be a SNAIL Steward. Be advised, asking to become a Steward doesn't automatically mean you will become one. Volunteers for stewardship are approved by committee. Should you decide to walk this path, please send a PM to myself, @zer05ive, @CoachMK21, @nmcp1 or any currently active steward shown here.
