Hey guys, as some of you guys know, I made a GIMX adapter in order to play Project Cars on the PS4 using my Logitech G27. I recently picked up a T300 so I no longer need the adapter anymore. i was thinking about auctioning it off in the SNAIL marketplace but wanted to see if there was any interest before posting.

What do you guys think?

I think you put it up for auction someone will bid for it :)

I have a question if any steward would like to answer or anyone with online knowledge.

At one point during the races last night because of other issues we had to do a manual line up to start a race. I was told to line up 2nd which I did and was confirmed by others in the room that I was in the right spot but when the race loaded I was in last place.

I was told that I should have said something and we would have lined up again. But at that point I just wanted to get the race started and didn't care. So I have no one to blame but myself for that. But I was wondering how does that happen in the first place?

Have a possible explanation for that. I will elaborate later when I'm not on my phone.

The game sometimes remembers the furthest point anyone has crossed before backing up or to do a grid line up. Normally a manual grid line up is done at the closest available point instead of having 1st going to say the third corner or wherever. I say "sometimes" because I have started last checked the grid passing first place then returning back to my last place start. It's just one of those stupid game thing.

You could have said something and redone a grid start. or after the line up is done a lap should be almost completed in say 1st gear to attempt to have things like this not happen. (we also had it happen the week before on le sarthe in D3 to bowler)

Story time, but I think I made you guys proud.

So the past few days I've been at Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) East in Boston. On Sunday, the last day of the event, I learned that Square Enix was doing a thrustmaster t300 wheel giveaway to the person who sets the fastest time each day in the new Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo game. So I missed 2 days of opportunities to try it, and was kicking myself.

Waited in line and set the fastest stage time yet at a 8:07 (at the time the previous fastest was 8:40). I asked what the previous days best was. 8:04 on friday and 8:14 on saturday so I was feeling pretty good. I head back over with 2 hours left in the con and apparently a semi pro racing driver came through, set a 8:03 first run, then 7:50 second run.

After my first attempt I knew I had about 15 seconds that I could easily get back with just a clean lap, no crashes and resets. So I try again, but had a lot of mistakes early on causing car damage, ended up with an 8:21, not even close to good enough. So I went back in line (30-45 minute wait each time), next try 7:53 with a reset after a physics glitch caused my car to careen off a cliff. 3 seconds was all I needed.

Its now 5:40, only 20 minutes left in the con, I get back up for what is my final try and I'm setting a decent lap. At around the 7 minute mark the steering wheels becomes loose and all of the buttons stop functioning (so I couldn't even pause the game). At that point I thought it was over, but then I looked back and a group of like 5 Square Enix employees looked devastated and wanted me to try again.

So they got the wheel back in order, everything tightened, I'm warmed up ready to do, I don't look behind me, but my GF said there was a bit of a crowd. My heart is racing, adrenaline pumping I hit start on my final run. Everything is going clean, steering is smooth, I'm starting to remember some sections, I'm braking earlier into the hairpins and it feels like I'm just going a lot faster. I don't know what my sector times are, but I can see the total and its looking good, but I'm keeping my focus on road (as the kid next to me is flying off cliffs left and right because apparently he doesn't know what a brake pedal is :grumpy: ). I'm rounding the last corner my I can hear and feel my heart pounding as I cross the line.

My final time:
.
.
.
7:34, absolutely crushed it. Cheers went up and I later heard that the employees really didn't want a professional racing driver to win :D. They also were really impressed that I was helping over people trying out the game and giving general racing tips and sim racing tips, and since I'm east coast and I stream on twitch, they might have me come out to NY Comic Con with them. :D

So yeah, at some point I'll be receiving my new ps4 compatible wheel (my current one isn't), just in time for GT Sport to release a beta, just kidding, eh, who am I kidding, we probably won't see that until '17 .

What track were you racing ? #respect :) (secretly jealous, but in a good way)

Not sure, I had never played the game before, it was the default track when we pressed quick single stage rally. It was all asphalt.

Edit: Looking at track maps on a youtube video, it looks like it might've been Apricale, stage 1 in italy using the 106 rallye (also not sure on this, but it was definitely a 2wd car).

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Lexus LFA '10 (Sports: Soft) at Autodromo Nazionale Monza (No Chicanes) (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @JJLopez427 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 Shifter (Sports: Soft) at Côte d’Azur (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @socalnatv gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @TEX36 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Currently tracking 12 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

None of the prize winners are clear at this point. All of those that are potential prize winners will be included in a conversation shortly.

The only thing i can think of the race host might of had the race on reverse grid instead of fastest first.

Happy belated bday @CoachMK21!!
