Any suggestions for a budget gaming chair that I can race in? Space is limited in our apartment so the girlfriend won't let me build an actual rig. Preferably under $150 and a solid base.
Woulda sent you off here but, doesn't meet your first requirement. Good luck. You might go with a decent desk chair and leave the wheels off.

Find a nice night table stand that's got four open legs and a draw near the top. Cut the draw out. Add wooden braces to the legs to enhance rigidity support. Luckily mine was already in the house just not being used and I bought the wood, screws, and brackets to attach everything. Definitely under $150.

Hope this helps.

budget stand or chair? what are your requirements? I would personally suggest the granstand for a wheel stand the modular design would allow you to expand in the future.

For chairs I would think you would want something
X Rocker 5127401 Pedestal Video Gaming Chair, Wireless , Black or
X Rocker 5143601 II Video Gaming Chair , Wireless , Black

GranStand makes a great wheel stand that is collapsible, and like birdy said, it's modular so you can expand in the future.
Great product, and SNAIL members get a discount.
He has a pedal invert kit that is a real game changer!
I highly recommend all the products available at GranStand.

Man I had to work at it but I got my wife to let me get the obutto r3volution. And a new 50" 4K tv for it. I've got near $2000 in my rig not including the second ps4 I got just before hearing about the possibility of the ps4.5

What did the NOS run ya? Did you get a deal from Brian at Harry's?
Yea he hooked me up. Said this was the big one and I should run two but I told him I didn't have the room for two.

Really though I got the bottle for free from an old boss of mine. He has it in his old chevelle and he didn't drive it like that any more. It still has now in it from 1970. I had to get a new sticker for it though cause it was all ripped up.

Brought my wheel and stand up to my girlfriends (in the process of moving in together). Worked perfectly fine Monday night doing pack racing. Hook it all up tonight for practice and the wheel seems to have no power. Pedals respond, shifter responds, but the wheel does nothing. Everything is plugged in, tried both usb's and switched power source from surge protector to wall outlet.

When I plug the g27 into the ps3 the light on the shifter flashes bright twice then goes to a dim glow. Any idea as to what the problem is?

Edit note: Operator malfunction. Had too many devices plugged into the surge protector and when I switched it to the wall socket, I didn't turn power on to the wall...This apartment is weird like that. Wow.

@Mike Lobban Was thinking of you when i was out earlier wondering if everything is ok with you because of the wild fires. Is it near you or you in the clear?

You as well @singlepaddy
Hey Champ, thanks for your concern. 1800 miles from me and Aero, about 900 from Paddy. I think the only Snail effected by the fire is Rednose. Amazing that no one has died in this disaster. I'm not serious very often, but prayers and positive thoughts are going out to all involved. Mother Nature can be a nasty bitch sometimes.

Should we declare that IRS filed in regard to Combo 3 - are to be only the most serious violations? I'm quite sure there will be many unintentional errors / crashes / etc before those 2 races are over.

The only rules that change from track to track are the boundaries in some cases. I will be scouting that mountain track and posting any adjustments to the track boundaries by Saturday afternoon. I can't even begin to tell you guys what, if any, changes might be because I haven't run any of those mountain tracks since I played the career mode of the game.

The mountain tracks are awesome, it's a matter of whose got the bigger set of cohones... Kinda like the old timer tracks with next to no runoff. Those who can focus on driving as fast as possible without worrying about what would happen to them if they made one wrong move are the ones that are going to be rewarded.

I'm more of a Lauda fan, but James Hunt said it perfectly;

"To hell with safety, all I want to do is race."
