I had an Equinox years ago when they first came out. It was a nice midnight purple or something like that, but it looked black in certain light. We got it on a lease for $88 a month for 2 years. We basically stole it at that price. Within those 2 years, the dealership actually went out of business and we turned it in to a different dealer when we bought my wife her 2008 Pontiac Vibe (which we still have and going strong).

My only complaints on the Equinox were, I felt it had a poor turning radius and it was difficult to spot cars off the rear corners. I'd like to think those are better now. Have fun!

Yeah I did a lot of research myself before moving ahead on anything. And she did her own as well. What we were mostly concerned with was something big enough for me to road trip in (I'm 6'3 220lbs) yet small enough for her to feel comfortable driving (Shes all of 5'3 115). And still large enough to throw 1 or 2 kids in down the road and head south to see family. We got it in white with blacked out bowties and rims, and a lot of the extras (blind spot monitoring, roof rack, blah blah blah) all the stuff I could care less for.

We put 13k down on it and financed the rest thru the dealership (they beat our credit union by a full point) all told with 100k drivetrain warranty, gap coverage and all the other hoopla that goes into a new vehicle we'll end up paying just under 29k over 6 years. Good deal in my eyes to build up our credit even more and it gets her out of a 95 corolla and into something far superior.

Happy wife = Happy life.

So last night after our GT1 race, we were talking about people who have upgraded their wheels from G27's to G29's, and it came up how they would rather give their G27's to snails rather than either sell them or have them collect dust. (for the cost of shipping).

What I'm wondering is if their is a way to build a database and match people up together based on locations to lower the cost of shipping? Example: Tex shipping to champ should be cheaper than tex shipping across the country to say whitey.

And how many people do we have on both sides of the equation?

It would also be good to get a full list of SNAILs that have Project Cars so we can set up random races from time to time.
Dude did you just seriously corrupt my post! My post was about helping each other with in snail. Yours is a self centered post about benefitting yourself.

Snails has an entire thread for P cars the people that have P cars should theoretically be on there.

:P I didn't know we had a general PCars thread for SNAIL. Just trying to bring people together.

We don't actually have a PCars thread in our dedicated SNAIL section of GTP.

I imagine one of the tech wizards here in SNAIL would have no problem building that. And it's a fantastic initiative, Birdy, kudos to you, mate.

If anyone is interested, @whatbadgerseat is competing today and tomorrow at the SCCA Solo Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska. His run group is up right now. The main live timing website hasn't been working very well, but the back up one is. He's competing in B-Street (BS), #148 in a 1999 Chevy Corvette. They have some live cameras set up, but I can't tell if they work or not, since they are blocked on my work computer.

Great Idea. ( Ignore the bird's actions, for he does not know what he does is wrong) I have a G27 collecting dust somewhere. No pedals, I use the pedals with the T300. Keep me in mind when making the list.

Great idea Birdie. I only have a GT Driving Force, but I have been thinking a donation might be better than trying to sell it. It still functions well, although the steering is just a little loose but it doesn't affect the functionality. Shipping will probably be more expensive obviously - my zip is 96766. I'm happy to be on the list as well.

My bad folks, missed a few posts. I was using Birdy's example of TEX and RacingChamp.

But yea, let's drive to Hawaii!
