I don't you know about you, but I thought that's what the SNAIL Racing League was all about.

We also maintained a good community before SNAIL and I dare say we'll be about for a while yet.

Unfortunately that's the issue right there. It was just that. It evolved into an entire community. We help each other in so many ways like sending gaming equipment or even personal advice. It's become more than just a game's discussion and there needs to be a way to accomodate that. In my opinion.

Well, that's the GTP forums for you.

I've given hardware to other members. I've given limited edition versions of GT to others. But I don't limit that to just one section of the forum.

If a thread or section isn't overly active, there's nothing wrong with that. It simply means that nothing needs to be said.

but that leads to me to ask, can we discuss real world racing and general automobile news in this thread or should it go in the General Discussion thread?

Why have things doubled up in 1) the appropriate thread in the appropriate section and 2) also in a disorganized, monolithic thread for a few members that don't want to branch out to discuss the topics with other people?

Basically things going on in your own person life that you'd like to discuss or general world news, etc.

The Current Events, or Rumble Strip sections are precisely here for just that reason.

Because they aren't always as active and I know you guys? This is our corner of GTP. I go there too but when they're slow I like to discuss here too.

As I've already said, a slow section is fine. That doesn't mean you jump ship to a different thread.

Just like jumping the gun with starting the general discussion thread, a little patience would serve you well.

What a sorry state of affairs. I sat in disbelief last night as I read the line of conversation on this thread and was so glad when the mods stepped in to delete it. It was a line of conversation that had no place on this the shop window for a league that so many people have worked on so hard over the years to gain the high level of respect in the online racing community that it has achieved.

I can assure the GTP management that @DesertPenguin09 is in no position to stand as a spokesperson for me or, I suspect, any of the proud members of SNAIL when he argues about the content of this thread.

My #RaceDay was yesterday. Took 1st in class and 3rd overall. And I actually plan to race tonight as well. Hopefully I can get some practice on the 2 combos that aren't the angry red Camaro.

Moderators......take a long look at this thread. It's the largest thread you have for a reason. It's for our entertainment and we thank you for that. If something gets said off topic, it's usually for a laugh, which is one of the reasons i check the thread a few times a day. Yeah, I check the other threads too, but I check this page first.
We are all interested in the outside activities of our fellow members and this thread is the best way to show off those activities to us. Be it gun purchases, car pics, dumb jokes, sheep references, or whatever.
If there are a few members that will not toe the line, chastise them individually, don't poo poo on the thread as a whole. We have a good thing going here, it's entertaining, which is the whole purpose of my involvement.
