Nice, I have all the hardware needed to build gimx, I wanted to build one with the cheapest solution out there (Pi zero) but I didn't know there was snailers in the group who messed with gimx also.
Both pc and Pi versions worked well, but the Pi boot up process was much quicker. I'd say they emulated at about the 98% level. There was always this strange little weird feel when doing a large left to right motion, like going through a chicane. It was like a small force holding the wheel back when turning back the other way, which would suddenly release, it was minor and didn't really effect the driving but it was noticeable. I found it ever so slightly more noticeable using the Pi. I put it down to the Linux OS, which quite often has issues when trying to run something designed for MS OS.
Matio, the GIMX developer, still has this disclaimer on his site:Warning: RPi support should be considered as experimental. Be prepared to face issues if you try GIMX on the RPi.
I wouldn't let this deter anyone but he is letting you know there can be issues. Other than the little glitch I explained, it works just fine. I did have a buddy program the Pi for me though, as he is very knowledgeable with them.
