Will this be where you full scale sim rig will go?

Just for giggles I logged into my google account and noticed a couple of entries from way back in April, so I updated the sheets.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Toyota 2000GT '67 (Comfort: Soft) at Côte d’Azur (5 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Ph1sher wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG (R230) '04 (Sports: Soft) at Daytona Road Course (6 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @JLBowler gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @pubason so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Currently tracking 15 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

No prize winners are clear this week. There will be a conversation started in the next few minutes that anyone with a mathematical chance of a prize will be included.

My wonderful wife gave me a newer toy for my 50th birthday last month. She keeps me happy and busy.

1988 targa, and 1995 coupe - #632 was for previous owner.

I had clinched by AX class with the targa, so I took the new car for our last AX. I took my friend out before turning him loose for several runs. He races H class (996, water cooled 911). This car is a G class, 993 air cooled, full cage, halon, driver cooling system, Moton clubsport dampers, etc.

The other car is going back to AX and sunny day driving. I will amp up my DE driving schedule more for 2017 I am almost into the PCA Black group and starting some of the work for becoming an instructor. Club racing isn't out of the question, but I may hold off until 2018.

D2 data for 11/27 is complete and belated congrats to @Kgffy for the overall win.

The data for last weekend's racing (12/04) is also complete. It was a fun night's racing with the welcome return of drivers like @oharagbr19, @Matthew Barry and the legendary @nmcp1 👍

Six different winners on the night (Nine over the two weeks) give an indication of how competitive this group is.

I would live to see how all this real life improvement has affected your virtual racing. Sweet cars and I am very jealous!

I have logged on a few times and found some areas were better for me. The real feedback from the drivers seat makes a big difference to me. Hopefully more seat time will give me more situations to imagine the feedback I should feel in the sim.

Will the g27 pedals and shifter work with g29 wheel on ps4 and ps3? Or do I need to get another shifter and swap the springs out of the older pedals?

I think the pedals will but not the shifter..

Quick note, I finally got the ebrake on my rig to function correctly on the PC/PS4 with PCars and AC....so yes, @USERID_77a23 it was all worth it....

Hey guys, PSN Holiday Sale Week 1 is up and Assetto Corsa is 55% off with PS+, costing $22.49 USD. Is it worth it for solo gameplay with AI or just skip alltogether?

What rig is this? And how did yo make a handbrake work? That's the only way I would consider playing those rally games.

It's called an IonRax RS2. The system comes with a usb3.0 command board and I just plugged in a multi-port outlet which runs my sound and brake. Almost all PC games recognize it and offer the range field for degree of movement vs. brake force. Pcars is a little tricky sometimes with all its little bugs but almost all cars in AC are good with it so far.

The rack looks a little weak, but I'm 6'1, 225lbs and it has never failed or moved during use...even with some of the off-roading adventures. The seat is comfortable and could handle someone 8ft. with ease. Very sturdy rig.

The E-brake adds a whole new level of control, even in a power slide because you don't "need" the flick. I don't know about you guys, but if I miss my timing and "landing" spot of the flick, it can take me so far off line or cost me a ton of RPM's and momentum. Basically, the brake gives me a greater range of RPM's to work within the distance of the slide. And it's just a sh&% ton of fun.

Just FYI to whoever set up the snailracing.org url, it's not working anymore. I tried it to get onto the page and it brought me to a page that had related links on it and the domain url was expired.
Just wanted to point that out just in case it wasn't planned. :boggled:

Unless it's just me, I'm using google chrome.

Thanks for pointing that out. It's being looked into. 👍

The E-brake is still fun in a FWD on a snow covered parking lot.
When I was 16ish, the first winter I had my '80 Tercel I took it into a parking lot to play. Had no idea about the ebrake, so I just swerved around until it broke loose then counter steered. When the Campus security guy showed up I told him that I was 'learning to control my car in the snow', trying to hide how much fun I was having.

That's really cool, the age spread is totally different than I expected when I joined. Thankfully...

Open practice for the Gt1 series tonight at 9:30 est for anyone curious to check it out. Car specs are in the op of the gt1 thread but if you want to just jump in at the top, put a wing and flat floors on a 370z with 400hp and 1260kg and enjoy the ride.

Hopefully next week I can make it, I would like to try GT1 again now that I'm more settled in.

Thanks for the heads up! Looks like it just expired yesterday. I should probably have my email on that account updated to one I read daily. In any case, I've just renewed the domain name so it should be back up soon. 👍
