Steward / Board of Directors Update
As all of you should know, SNAIL has an expectation of how drivers should conduct themselves when communicating with their fellow drivers along with an expectation of good sportsmanship. These expectations are laid out in the SNAIL OLR and throughout the SNAIL OLR P&G thread. This week, it has come to light that some drivers have not been living up to these expectations. The following excerpts from the SNAIL OLR P&G thread are examples of the specific expectations that these drivers have not been living up to.
Taken from 17 B of the SNAIL OLR:
B: Drivers are, under no circumstances, allowed to discourage, dissuade, or otherwise attempt to deter another driver from filing an IR against them. Any driver who violates this policy becomes subject to discipline which can include, but is not limited to, having their posting privileges suspended or having their racing privileges suspended.
Taken from 1.2 of the SNAIL OLR P&G
PLEASE NOTE: If you are the driver an incident report is filed against, feel free to tell "your side of the story" to your Division Steward so that he can relay it to the rest of the stewards who will be reviewing the incident. There is no need to reply to the driver who filed the complaint against you unless you want to and are able to do so in a completely non-confrontational manner.
Any response to an IR filed against you should address your division steward and should include nothing more than your take on the incident. This is not the place for personal attacks against the driver who filed an IR against you, nor is it the place for arguments about the incident. This holds true for the driver filing the IR and the driver being filed against.
Failure to follow this policy will be treated the same as personal attacks and arguing in the main thread, divisional conversations, and race lobby.

There are other examples of poor sportsmanship and abuse of the IR system that have been going on for multiple weeks that have just come to light this week. The stewards have reviewed those instances and taken them into consideration.
After a very time consuming and comprehensive review of documents that were received by the stewards this week, the following penalties will be levied against the drivers that have failed to live up to the expectations of good behavior set forth by SNAIL.
Mikegrove - 75 pts. over the next three weeks (25 pts. per night) that he races and a one week suspension which will be enforced on 12/11/16.
lllTrick - 75 pts. over the next three weeks (25 pts. per night) that he races.
Ph1sher - 50 pts. over the next three weeks (17, 17, and 16 pts.) that he races.
src_ej6 - 45 pts. spread over the next three (15 pts. per night) weeks that he races.
Edit for clarification: Points will only be deducted when the driver races a full night. A full night is defined as a night that would qualify to have a week of probation raced off.
If any of the penalized drivers would like a further explanation of their penalties, you should start a private conversation (as discussing it any further in the main thread would be another violation of SNAIL policies) with @JLBowler and set the conversation to allow anyone to add members to the conversation.
