Nice one! And @Die_Birdy_Die gets to race the Lexus this week !

just went to price some racing wheels. First search was G27.... A wheel I bought for 200 is selling for 800... And to think Logitech wasn't going to make a new wheel! Clearly the market is big enough.

Look at the Thrustmaster T300RS W/RICMO TECH adapter for the G27 peddles, I love it and talk to JLBolwer.

D3 Data has been completed... Congratulations to @Adramike for the overall win!

(I did notice on the data sheet that the Round 3 track name was showing as Autumn Ring/Forward instead of Spa Francorchamps...)
I'll have a check later and fix it before it screws up the data base

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Lexus IS F Touring Car '07 (Racing: Hard) at Autumn Ring / Forward (5 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @msgt-sd wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '78 (Sports: Hard) at Circuito di Roma / Forward (8 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @nmcp1 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @TEX36 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines
See Section 3.1 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines
.

Just FYI if you would like to correct it, the track you listed for Prize A is incorrect. The track was not autumn ring, spa.

(Drumroll, please)

After enlisting the help and testing by several Snails, I offer the following as my choice for a Trans Am track:

Grand Valley, East - Forward
Lap times: 1:19-20 (as reported)

Hope the complaints aren't too vociferous or great in number.

Just make it work for you and enjoy the challenge.

I think that's gonna be a fun Combo TEX, nice and wide with good opportunities for passing!
Thank you. 👍

Hey SNAILers, been a while. Some of you may remember me back from the 450pp club in GT5, others from D2 SNAIL racing. I took a break from Sim Racing for a bit. Needed to focus on my health and other hobbies. I'm hoping to get back into it though.

I did a ton of mountain biking, added EFI to my old pickup truck, and I bought an old RX7 early last year and spent the summer wrenching on it and taking it to some open track days. This game definitely translates to the track very well as many of you know. The novice run group I started in had my running circles around some much faster and more modern cars everywhere except the straights. I have some more upgrades planned for next season and I'm going to attend a driving school also.

My wife bought me a PS4 and the game "Project Cars" for Christmas (I know I know, she's a keeper). She also reserved GT Sport for me thinking it would come out by Christmas. Anyway, I'm ordering a new racing wheel because, surprise surprise, the DFGT doesn't work. However, it would be a shame to waste the new hardware on A.I. competition so when it comes in, I'd like to join back with the league.

Don't know how many people have availed themselves of this cool tool @msgt-sd built a while ago but, it's pretty cool. You can look up the stats of, I'm pretty sure, every Snail who's ever raced.

Curious how net pos change can be 20 when there's only 16 grid slots.

Send a PM to @JLBowler, @nmcp1, @Rednose58, @MajorBlixem, @msgt-sd, @CoachMK21 and @zer05ive asking for reinstatement. Good to have you back!

Will do, once the wheel comes in and I've had enough laps to get comfortable with it. I don't want to be learning on the track with you guys. I have no issues getting dumped in the lowest division and working my way up.

Actually I haven't even ordered the wheel yet. Do you guys have a preference over the G29 vs T300? I'm leaning toward the G29 because of the pedals and reportedly better brake pedal feel.

I'm pretty sure he will need to start from scratch so @nmcp1 can go ahead and send him a welcome message.

Isn't he saying he's on PS4 and Project Cars now? If so, he needs to head over to the PITS thread and figure out joining with @Zii1993 and @Alex ONeill. And if I'm reading it right, welcome to the Dark Side, chuyler.

I've still got the PS3 and GT6. I had to buy a new audio receiver that supported HDMI so I could have both connected. So I plan to jump between both games until GT Sport comes out. I will checkout PITS too though!

Thanks. And that's your best net position change for a whole race night. By the way, the record is 37! I should add some captions (that pop up when you hover over the name of the stat) that better explain what each stat represents. In the meantime, you can click on the link at the bottom of the page that says "See more stats here" and it will take you to the SNAIL Consolidated Stats spreadsheet. In that spreadsheet, if you scroll to the far right, you'll see a sheet called "StatsGlossary" that attempts to define each statistic and explain why some stats (notably Average Start, Average Finish, and Average Change) might not add up how you'd expect.

I would like to join

@WilliFRendon

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Hey @chuyler1,

Good to have you back. When you're ready to jump back in please post back in this thread and we'll get you started on the process of joining the community club. 👍
