After unsuccessfully thinking a different color would make me faster I will return to being "purple paddy" next week.
Also I would like to ask @Die_Birdy_Die aka triple p where he has been. We need you back to to make sure the penguin behaves.
Sorry sir my new job doesn't allow for Sunday racing I can't stay up until 12pm any more how ever if the penguins getting upidity let me know I might make an appearance for a race or two

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupé Chrome Line (Sports: Hard) at Mid-Field Raceway / Forward (8 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Kgffy wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - McLaren F1 GTR Race Car Base Model '95 (Racing: Medium) at Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit (6 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @TEX36 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @DesertPenguin09 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

I ran in a shuffle series in GT5 & GT6 for awhile. Much testing went into a series of different cars, and it went with a reverse-grid from race to race, and a bit of a handicap for each driver.

I can dig up the thread if enough are interested.

C&M is always fun - I have a few Wednesday eves, and a couple others - before IRL business.

@Rallywagon - call to arms?

@Lessen @Die_Birdy_Die
Weeellllll. I do have the ps3 out, the wheel setup and a TV right by it.... I may be conned into some cat and mouse.... Racing without vr is going to be hard.

Surprised to see the merc one and done. It was a fun combo @Rednose58, too bad you missed it.

Yes, a little disappointed. D3 was brutal on the votes for the Merc....

And the Amuse is now the second most popular car in Snail history with 13 appearances (14th will be next week)

The most popular car is the Lotus Elise Race Car '96 with 20 appearances

View media item 2540This week's prize winners are clear to make their selections. Good racing!
The IR Submission Form is now closed.
We have 10 incidents on file. Target deadline for reviews is NLT 10PM Eastern on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017.

@TEX36 @DesertPenguin09 @Kgffy you will all be included in a conversation very shortly. Tex36, Could you please repost your choice here so that it's after the all clear.

Which is interesting because the room chatter was what a neat car it is. Personally I didn't want to lose McLaren and the Amuse suits me a little better. It was hard to vote out a car that has my initials in it though...SL...

As for my choice: Freeze the car

I may have posted my choice ahead of time. If so, please disregard (for now).
Poke @DesertPenguin09

Just for kicks

Spa
Nurb GP/F or GP/d
Suzuka full or v2014
Fuji
Indy Road

For a couple tracks that apparently have never been raced that might be good for the Mclaren
Sarthe 2005 either one
Sarthe 2009
These two will definitely let that Mac stretch it's legs.

As much as I'd love to use Le Sarthe it's just not enough laps to do it justice. I do love the Nurb layouts but I'm not so fast in Sectors 1 and 3 (of both) so I'm reluctant to choose something that I won't do well in. Literally just woke up not 10 minutes ago so gimme a few. It will be announced today so people can start practicing.

But if you pick le sarthe I have to come out :) it's my track.

I like the car, but the majority of the race was holding the wheel straight with your foot flat on the floor. Those slower cars need more technical tracks.
I was considering selecting Mid-Field for the McLaren but I didn't want to upset people by not using something different.

I do like the track, but it needs a faster car to add some more braking points. The McLaren could possibly be too much car for it though.

It's surprisingly not. The car isn't that bad it's just the 2nd gear turns and their exits that are challenging. Once it's up to speed it's quite nice. I found I was taking the hairpin in 3rd gear and getting a decent line so it wouldn't have been so bad. But variety is the spice of life. And we haven't used Motegi in a long time.

Prize C Track Selection: Twin Ring Motegi Road Course
Lap Times: 1:43.xxx, D1 will probably hit 1:41s and most likely break into the 1:40s.

Not the Twin Ring Road Course again.... too many turns and straightaways, not wide enough, too narrow, no clear braking markers. Didn't we just do this last month? This pick sucks Donkey nads......you should have picked anything else. Leave it to Desert Chicken to make such a thoughtless pick.

Just kidding guys, congrats to the Penguin for getting a prize. I hope he expects the ribbing.
