I hear you get bonus points around here for originality, and looking at the combo history it seems the 86 RUF has yet to be run. Its another challenging combo. Master this and you're on your way to becoming a better racer đź‘Ť

Great pick @SAMHAIN85 I think the Ruf will be a bigger challenge to drive than the Xbow was but that is where the fun is when one combo is more challenging than the last. We needed a change of pace since we been driving the Mclaren for 4 weeks in a row.

I think some of us try to recruit from the quick matches occasionally. I raced this girl a few months ago who was very fair and clean. I told her we'd love to have her join, but she hasn't. But that's where I came from when I got sick of all the mayhem in those rooms.
Me personally, I love SNAIL and it will always be the only league I race with. It's the time that keeps me away. I've tried several times over the years to make it work to no avail, my schedule only allows me to race a few months out of the year.
SNAIL is no different than any other sport or business, it has its ebbs and flows and is influenced by many uncontrollable factors including market competition, global dynamics, and participant satisfaction among others. However, just like any sport or business, the best marketing system remains the participants own perception and experience with the product and that's where no other league short of the internationally sponsored leagues (ESL in Pcars) can compete with SNAIL. I'm a business owner, so I kinda pay attention to little nuances that drive and compel individuals to do the things they do, relative to my thoughts on business in general to help guide my decisions and interests. SNAIL, from a business standpoint, has one of the best internal marketing mechanisms in place, you., the drivers and participants. The simple fact of everyone actively discussing how to grow and expand the league is invaluable and over time with a continued, focused effort, will pay dividends in participation numbers.

Remember though, SNAIL is built on the success of a non-owned entity, ie., GT6. So as new games come to market, the uncontrollable consumer is going to wander and explore. Given what they have to work with I think they have done an amazing job, and they do it for FREE......the best you can do is the best you can do!
The scale and depth of what has been created for this league to operate as it does in mind-boggling to me as witnessed from my limited time and exposure "behind the scenes." I can't imagine what this group could do if given the resources to produce a gaming platform of their own. It's this dedication that keeps me connected to and coming back at every opportunity permissible to my real-world obligations.

I'm looking forward to that Friday night bracket racing @JLBowler!

No originality for my pick. In fact, this car has been at Laguna Seca three other times, but not since July 2016. Maybe if I had check the combo history earlier, I would have gone with my second track choice. In any case, I like it.

Thanks champ. And no need to justify your pick, you won Prize B, you get to pick.

Hey no complaints from me, I'm the one who picked it in July

Opinion time! Good choices but I want to ask, Why do people think we should get rid of something just cuz it's been there a few weeks? That means it's good and people like it and want to see more of it. I think the this whole idea of making sure to pick something new is overrated. I've wanted to run the BTR but I'd rather see where else the McLaren can provide more fun racing for a few more weeks, just MY opinion :)

I like new choices/changes to the tracks and cars personally, just because it gives everyone more exposure to a wider selection of cars and tracks, which should equal improving driving skills on all tracks and in all cars. Like I said, its a personal opinion, and I respect that not everyone will share my opinion.:D:gtpflag:

That means it's good and people like it and want to see more of it.

Tell that to the 11 people who voted it off. You say its "good" like its a matter of fact. When will you understand that people dont owe any explanation when it comes to the selection process, or their reason for voting off a combo. We get it, you just want to drive a highpowered race car each week. Guess what, I dont.

It's good to discuss opinions even if they differ. It's how we grow as a community. I think the takeaway from certain cars staying awhile is to make a note of it. That way when we have holiday events or just random events (which are always welcome but never seem to happen) we can bring back those cars.

Did I ask for an explanation? No. I didn't ask why he picked what he picked. I asked why there's a trend among prize winners in general. And again no, you don't get it. So how about you respectfully keep quiet with your senseless attack on me as I respectfully stated my opinion.

Difference is, when he doesn't win a prize, we're not obliged to pay any attention.

I'll entertain this a little more and then I'll be done with it.

Since you edited your post..

Instead of putting the blame on racingchamp as to why he axed the Mclaren, why dont you ask all 11 people who voted it off? Perhaps in a PM? Champ was only faced with decision because SNAIL as a whole decided it. There could be a number of reasons people vote the way they do. I'm all for having a discussion about combos, but it seems you're only interested in talking about this one because YOU enjoyed it and didnt want to see it go which you clearly made us aware of. The combo is gone, whats there to discuss?

I won both races in D1 with the X-bow, a combo I very much enjoyed. Would I have liked to see it stay? Sure. Am I going to question why the majority voted it off? Absolutely not. Its their right to vote for whatever they want, no questions asked.

So how about you respectfully keep quiet with your senseless attack on me

Freedom freedom freedom oi!

I dont see an attack anywhere, just an opinion my "freedom" grants me :)

The answer is always....

Prize A

Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
17,000 CR
PP (oil change) - 364
Tires - CS
Mid Division lap time - 1:52
Laps - 6

Nice. This was one of my early seasons at SNAIL, when I was merely an enfant terrible cowry. Now that I'm a young adult SNAIL hopefully I will do better...

Great pick @CoachMK21 with the Eunos roadster at Mazda Raceway. Pack racing on a Sunday will be great. For the change of combo picks changing. In all the 3 years i been with Snail, the track and car has always changed over time. If a track is used more than twice or so, it is changed to a different one with the same car or same track stays. If a car is used as long as we did the Mclaren, then another car is picked out of the many in GT6. That is a good way to keep the online racing league's going over the years is changing the car and track through each voting process after each week or season. In a way, we are showing through the use of democracy of voting process to pick which car/track combo we liked the least out of all 3 and then vote for a new car/track combo and then freeze the car/track with prizes B and C. It keeps things interesting. :)
