The poor babe and wife were stuck in labor since 9am Friday, which ultimately culminated in a c-section Sunday morning. Any woman that gave birth, is a badass, it's got to be said. And Any that goes back for a second or more is insane!

Good day SNAIL'ers! AS I get acclimated to a new wheel and GTS, (and as I find more time between shifts at the salt mine) I am sure I will get to posting more! Just a quick question. I started dabbling with the Sport races this morning and there seems to be a dramatic difference in grip between qualifying and the actual race. Even the races vary in grip (and sometimes speed) What am I missing? I am setting fairly consistent lap times when in qualy mode but when the race starts, I get smoked out of the gate and the understeer is preposterous...
EDIT: Nevermind... The rust is thick and heavy. I guess that great big shiny "WARM UP" button has something to do with it...

I'll be the first to admit to being a complete wuss of a husband in the delivery room. There's something about the stress of a loved one going through a tremendous amount of pain and not being able to do a darn thing about it. I litererally had to walk out in the middle of our first being born. I think I was having a panic attack or something. Nurses actually got me something quick to eat and drink. Apparently I was pretty white (and I'm not particularly light skinned). Fortunately I was able to get it together quick enough to get back in there and see my son born.

Edit: having hurt myself many time, badly, my constitution has strengthened. When they walked me out with the kiddo to the infant room for his shots and tests, they walked me past where they were still sowing up my wife. I now know my wife inside and out, literally and figuratively.

Hey Exo, Great seeing you again.. You've been pretty fast on the trainer TTs. Just be patient and the times will improve little by little.

To prepare for tonight we will run the following two combos. Two races each. We don't know how much time will be lost with testing, so we don't want to go into the wee hours of the night. We tried to make the combos as boring as possible because we don't want to steal the thunder from Prize winners, but we also want to test qually and penalties.
1. Rooms open a 9:00 pm eastern
2. Same as always, no hot laps
3. At 9:30 the host announces the start of qually and the drivers can start with hot laps. (any violaters can be given grid penalties and the host can do the manual grid setup based on that....)
4. After 5 minutes of qually the host starts the race
5. Save replays, input the scores or take screen shots
6. Change room settings (turn the short cut penalties and side impact penalties on for race 2 when the fast gyus have to make their way through)
7. Reapeat for Round 2
Proposed room settings - To be finalized before next week
Any feedback after racing tonight will be welcomed
- It will be Open Lobby - there are issues with the Friends Only rooms
- The current D1 and D2 drivers will be the ones participating in the official test (non members (especially "never been" snail public members) will be kicked out)
- @nmcp1 will host D2
- @Rednose58 will host D1
- Without chatting there will be a lot of typing, but participants can open their own parties.
- nmcp1 and I can be connected through a party, or we can check in from time to time with each other.
- People interested in snail (newbies and old comeback ones) can open a separate room and run these combos themselves and give us feedback. Post the room number and keep an eye on the thread. If we don't have enough people we may call on you.

Went to look for a controller keyboard today. Target and best buy didnt have them. Gamestop did but for $30. Just ordered one off amazon for cheap:
