Regarding the Nations and Manufacturer's FIA races; Has anyone figured out how they determine your point total after the race? I've done to Manufacturer's races (Honda - NSX) and in the first race I qualified 6th, finished 2nd and got 101 points at Suzuka. Last night I start 9th and finished 12th at Brands Hatch GP and received 277 points. Last nights race might as well been a demolition derby for all the paint that was shared. I was as high as 4th, before getting punted off the track with 2 laps to go, dropping to 10th. I moved back up to 8th and then was pushed off making a pass on the outside on the last lap. Anyways...

I looked at the points totals on my friends list and nothing really made sense either. I'm guessing it must be a combination of your DR or SR, place you finished and maybe taking your lap times into account too?

I think the understanding is that the points are weighted based on your competition. So last place in a race full of A drivers is worth more than winning against a bunch of C drivers. It isnt clarified anywhere yet so ots just a guess. It is only a test season anyway so i am sure pd are just gathering data and testing things out still, an extended beta if you will.

I have no idea. I got more points for a 5th. place finish compared to a win.
I was in fourth last night with 1 lap to go, leaders within striking distance and a guy that bumped me in lap one drove around slow and off the race line until lap 9. He let me pass and then smashed me hard into the wall at the top of turn 2. I lost a position and finished in the top 5. He took a 20 second penalty and blocked out on the last lap.

Meh... I prefer old dog crap over new dog crap. :)

So Spa Francorchamps is crap. Got it.

Speaking plainly for myself, I like the new circuits and the challenges they present. This game hasn't been out very long and still under development in many ways. I do hope they bring back some of the real circuits they had in games past, like spa ,monza, and add place like the Glen and CotA but they can keep high speed ring and trial mt.

The days of cramming practice in during your qualifying are over! (At least for the short term)

Yea, I really wish they would add some of the top quality US tracks. On my list would be Watkins Glen, COTA, Road Atlanta, VIR, Road America, Laguna Seca, Lime Rock and Daytona (yes, I like Daytona RC). Of course there are others that I'd like to see as well, but I'm certain PD would never add tracks that aren't big names, like Pittsburgh, Mid-Ohio, Thunderhill, Millers (or whatever it's named now), Oregon RP. And at least 1 Canadian track, Mosport would be fantastic, but there are other top notch ones too.
