:cheers: Twas the night before Christmas :cheers:

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house;
Not a creature was stirring, not even a Snail
The race stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Snail would soon be there;

The racers were all snuggled in their beds,
while visions of race cars danced in their heads;
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my helmet,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn their came a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window i flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Gave the luster of mid day to race vehicles below;
When, what to wonder to my eyes appear;
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny snaildeer;

With a little old driver, so lively and quick;
I knew in a moment it must be St. Snail.
More rapid than Ferrari's his courses they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now @TEX36, Now @zer05ive, Now @JLBowler and @Dragonwhisky
On @pubason, On @Mike Lobban On @aerolite and @Alexrider007
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves before the wind storm fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, fly to the sky;
so top to the house, top the Delorean that they flew,
With the sleigh full of GTS and St. Snail too.

And then in a twinkling i heard on the roof,
The sliding and movement of each worker snail,
As i drew in my hand and turned around;
Down the chimney St. Snail came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his tail,
and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of GTS and PCARS 2 he flung on his back,
And he looked like a gifter just opening his pack.

His eyes how they blinked, His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like the green flag and his nose like a car number,
His droll little mouth drawn like a racer;
And his beard of his chin was the color of a samba bus painted in blue,

The stick of a flag he held in his teeth,
and the smoke it encircled his head like a victory;
He had a happy face and a little round belly,
that shook , when he laughed bounced like a vehicle after a jump.

He was tiny and fast like Snail full of Nitrous,
And i laughed when i saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a turn of his head,
Soon gave me to know that he was there to give me a gift.

He spoke not a word but went straight to work;
Then filled all the stockings with GTS and Pcars2,
Laying his finger to the side of his nose,
giving a nod up the chimney he rose.

He went to his sleigh, giving his team a whistle,
And away they all flew like loaded with Nitrous;
But i heard him say as he drove out of sight,
Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Edit: I been reading on forums across GT Planet that people are having problems with connecting to the servers on GTS but having no problem at all signing into PSN. Hopefully this gets fixed before i start playing Christmas night.

Tick Tock... Tick Tock... @racingchamp30 , when I was young, my Mother would let me pick one present from under the tree, and let me open it on Christmas Eve. Think you'll see any such luck? Either way, it's just hours away. I'm so excited for you!!!

Merry Christmas to all you good folks.

"I have read the first post and would like to join."

BTW, my PS4 id is todally_lit_ and would like to race in GT Sport.

@todally_lit

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1,@zer05ive ,@Rednose58 &, @MajorBlixem as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL :cheers:

Cannot believe that GTS now having bigger problems with it's servers now that it's closer to Christmas. This was the part people did not understand why PD put the save to happen only if connected to an online server but i remember that happened too in GT6 that could not save unless online unless i am mistaken about how progress was saved in GT6 just that no one thought of it. The wait is finally over and gonna be playing in just a matter of hours. See you all very soon to compete against you all my friends. :cheers: Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Boxing day as well!! :cheers:

They have server maintenance coming up right? They might be doing "non-disruptive" work in preparation.

Regarding Server Connection Issues

Currently we are experiencing an unstable connection from the Gran Turismo Sport servers to the PlayStation Network servers.

Because of this, an error message is displayed notifying that the game cannot connect to the network.

For the time being, we have found that in some cases it is still possible to bypass the issue and connect to the server by ignoring the correction error messages and going to the top screen, then trying to manually “Reconnect to the Network” a few times.

Please wait while we investigate the cause of this issue together with the PlayStation Network.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our users.

Such a build up and hype leading up to you finally getting to play GTS @racingchamp30 , I hope the game holds up to your expectations. In my not so humble opinion, I think you will find it was worth the wait. Looking forward to racing with you once again. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Same to you @TomMang_68 and your family. I can already tell it's gonna be more than worth the wait with the two December updates that the game has gone through plus i got PCARS2 to play around with and other games i got plus the free games that come with PS+. Will be a blast racing against you all again. I found that patience pays off in the end.

@racingchamp30 , this patience is what's had me make a couple other comments. I think it's so cool that you've waited this long, and everything is going to be fresh and new for you. You must feel like a... Well... Kid on Christmas (for lack of a better term). I can't imagine your anticipation. Have fun. I recommend jamming through license tests and missions first. I still haven't bought a single vehicle, have had plenty of selection from gift vehicles to compete in the tests and missions, and I have nearly 7 million credits - all obtained legitimately.

I plan on doing the circuit experiences all first so i can get a handle to the circuits and then to the driving school. Mission challenges and GT league will all be last for me to do on my spare time. Just hoping PD gets this network issue fixed and also take out the option that have to be online to save the game. I do feel like a kid on Christmas getting a brand new game system with games included. Their should be an option to save offline in cases like what is happening across the world. I did search for what PD has stated or Yamauchi himself and this is what was stated

Merry Christmas Snail!

Last night after some daily races i headed out to the Livery Studio. After trying the F 458 GR3 at Interlagos which is soo much more slippery than it should be; tried the Viper! Ohh what a surprise!!!

This is one sweet car. Even though it is at 82% due to BoP, it seems that the lower power suits it better to get the power down to where it needs it when it needs it. I was not able to win a race lastt night, as I tried to do no-pit stop strategy and I came up just a tad short. However I managed to go from 14 to 2nd at the 8th lap.. then ended up in 5th on my best run.

This one was mostly done within 15 minutes while waiting for the entry window to open. Then refined after the nights racing.

Yamauchi gave an update to what is happening. He wrote it on Twitter but the translation i did with google read as this:

About four hours ago we began to recover with the cooperation of the PSN team in North America. The traffic of many GT users seems to have been misunderstood as an attack on PSN.

So PSN fearing the annual DDOS attack started throttling the connection to GT's server. That is amazing, but how is there no redundancy such as a phone call or email directly from one IT team to the other? Merry Christmas everyone.

From what i am seeing on youtube and the forum that was created after the error message that many got, looks like GTS is back in business and playing online good now. Good news for all of you and for me since i will be starting to play GTS tomorrow night. :cheers: Merry Christmas to all my friends, See you all very soon my friends.

Regarding the Log In Failure Issue at Startup

The startup log in problem that had been inconveniencing our users has just been resolved with the support of the PlayStation™Network Team.
The cause of the issue was that the unexpectedly large numbers of user network traffic had been mistakenly identified as an attack on the PlayStation™Network, and the login attempts were blocked by the system.

Hereon, we will work with the PlayStation Network so that something like this never recurrs.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Edit: The official GT site did go down last night as well but then right back up. I am :cheers: :) it's all back to business with GTS.

Despite the inconvenience, I'm glad there were protocols in play to ward off and/or control the fallout for network attacks. This put us down for 2-3days and was more of a miscommunication between teams. Glad it was as it was. Think back to the last time the psn was attack and we were down for weeks. I'll take a few days of inconvenience any day. Glad to see them get it worked out. Merry Christmas to everyone, and looking forward to getting back to racing.

Well...it has certainly been awhile since I’ve commented here.

Long story short, I finally have a PS4 & GT Sport...the only thing that I’m missing now is a wheel.

Which one seems to be the most reliable? Going back & forth between the t300rs & the t150...I just want to make my purchase worthwhile as opposed to regretting it a week after finally receiving it.

Suggestions? Pros/cons? HELP!!!

Have been working my way thru the GT League in Campaign (Ye old Sunday Cup, etc).

Now into the Endurance Series - am wondering if anyone has some Coaching (from experience) about GR-1 car to use, and Tire/Fuel strategy? Have made a few attempts, but "getting nowhere" moving forward - keep going backwards.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Depending in the car used... But it seems that Hybrid cars with fuel strategy pays off. The GTR that you used last Saturday is very fast... So play with a few different strategies with it. Just don't burn out the tires too early.

When doing research for whichever wheel I wanted from the two you suggested the t300 is a significantly better wheel, as far as getting a feel for what your car is doing. The choice I came down to was the t300 or the g29 and then got an amazing deal on the g29 so purchased it.
