I have read the first post and would like to join.

@Enrique Ramos
Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1,@zer05ive ,@Rednose58 &, @MajorBlixem as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Team,
I see friends about on GTS. I see friends in lobbies, but nothing comes up when a highlight box in the lobby. Is this a settling issue or private room ID?

Cheers

I think it might be an issue on PD’S end. I had this problem a couple of weeks ago on race night and I think someone else encountered it last week.

Sorry if this has been brought up already, but are the qualifying procedures going to be the same as usual this week at Suzuka? I did a test and it takes 55 seconds to go from turn one at a stand still to the start/finish line. In a room with 10 people and a 5 second gap between cars, that should just barely give enough separation between cars. But once you get to 11 or 12 people, it could cause issues since the last driver won’t be going until the first car is half way down the front straightaway and starting their hot lap.

With shorter tracks (I think it came up once so far) we go every 3 seconds instead of 5. Everyone has to be really diligent about it though.

Thanks for correcting me. Should the second half be out on track but out of the way or stay in the pits?

Common sense would dictate that they would not be in the pits as everyone is supposed to be lined up somewhere before qualifying starts so that a driver count can be done. I would suggest the off track area outside of turn one for a waiting spot.

We did qually at Suzuka on Thursday. We split the group in 2 and worked flawlessly. First 8 started normally, while the other remain on the right size before turn 1; same area the 1st group parked after their second lap. The overshoot area of turn1 also works.

The right side would work too. Just as long as they are out of the way.

I've got a tee time in just under an hour so I'll be away most of the day.

Thanks guys. Figured we’d do something like 3 seconds or two groups. Just wanted to make sure 👍

That issue may have to do with NAT configuration

It could be. Although I’m almost certain I fixed any NAT issues a while back when I was setting up a wired connection and the issue with not being able to see rooms only happened that one time for me. I haven’t had any issues with any other game before or after that.

For tonight’s qually at Suzuka:

1. Split the room in two groups if you have more that 8 drivers.
2. All drivers go to the first turn and the first group start their qually as per our standard procedure.
3. The second group stay off track at turn 1.
4. When the last driver of the first group comes by on his hot lap, the first driver of the second group can start his outlap.
5. As group 1 finish their hot lap they gather off track at turn one while group 2 complete their qually
