Hi guys, after giving it a lot of thought, I will have to step away from Snail. I appreciate being given the opportunity to race with you guys. The structure, organization and the logistics behind it are second to none. You guys run a heck of a ship around here. I just simply can't stay up so late on a work night. I gave it a try, and it just isn't going to work. I have to find a league that will fit my schedule a bit better. Thanks again, and I'll see you guys around.

Not sure what time Sunday ended for you, but in each week I raced the latest we finished was 23:45 Eastern. I understand there was a lot of stuff this last week that led to a later night than usual. Now if near midnight eastern is too late for a work night I completely understand, but if that is on the edge of acceptable give it another go.

The drivers list has been updated to reflect full and part time status as well and active and inactive drivers for the start of the April season. Promotion and relegation along with new drivers will be updated later this week.
D4 created

You might have wanted to wait until promotion and relegation was done for the month. There isn't even a guarantee that there will be a D4 for April and there sure isn't any guarantee that all the same people will be in it.

Not really even if we shrink... again. it gives the group a chance to see what is needed if the division stands and how they can help with in whatever their future division may be.
Which with knowledge of how to do a job will make them more likely to step up in the future.
So even if I have to alter or delete the new thread they still have the opportunity to see the positions that need to be filled and they can reach out to ask questions and get the knowledge they need before the new season starts.

I live in South Carolina, and midnight is too late for me. My first and only week of racing in Snail was March 25th, and we ended that night right around 11:30. I am usually in the bed no later than 10:30, and I was dragging the next day, since I didn't get to sleep until around midnight. It's just not worth it for me, but I appreciate the thought.

Best wishes! Stinks that you have to go, but hope you find a league that fits your schedule.

Agreed time zones suck. My aussie buddies miss me racing with them also.

Im in california.

I would like to see the start time move to 8:30 p.m. EST,could we have a vote on this?

Being a west coaster I've always felt fortunate starting our races at 6:30PM. I always thought 9:30 was a pretty late start time for east coasters.

Didnt SNAIL originally have a 7pst/10est start time? ooofffaa

When I first started with SNAIL start time was 10pm eastern. The battle to get it earlier was long, sometimes acrimonious and full of butthurt in some quarters. I suspect if it got moved to 8:30p eastern SNAIL would lose most, if not all, of the Pacific drivers and some of the mountain and central as well, to dinner with families or other general Sunday afternoon shenanigans. 9:30 was the compromise back when.

Don't matter to me either way. Ain't got no influence in any case.

Was great having you and hope to see you back with us.

I would believe even a 30 minute adjustment to 9pm EST start would be substantially beneficial for us east coasters. And a small enough adjustment to not negatively effect the West snails. I'm currently still adjusting to father hood which sleep deprivation comes hand in hand with that. By combo 3 I'm ready for bed being I get up early for work mondays as well.

It really makes no difference to me as I don't mind staying up. Starting 30 minutes earlier wouldn't hurt to give a cushion for when things go wrong too.

While the current time doesn't bother me, an earlier time wouldn't bother me either. I am east coast however and would hate for anyone on the west coast to not be able to continue.

Going for a drive through the Smokies, so I may not have much practice time. If that is the case I may not run this Sunday, because I would hate to be terrible at each combo on top of being a bit rusty driving in packs. Just wanted to make sure I gave enough notice.

I'm not sure what's going on with my wheel, but I run a G27 through a CronusMax Plus on a PS4Pro and I use the paddle shifter on manual and everytime I use it for extended periods of time, it will just jump into neutral for no reason and the brake is spiked full on for a split second, and then I have to click up or down to get into a gear.
This happens 3-4 times every Sunday night and has cost me big time on the track, as I'm not expecting it.
I've checked that my Cronus Max is up to date, which it is, and I also unplugged the wheel and then calibrated on the PC, and nothing has helped. When I can afford it I'll upgrade to a G29 or T300 but for now if I can't find the solution to this, I may give it up for now, it's just too frustrating.....especially if you're in a battle for position and it happens.....you drop back like a parachute was opened!:banghead:
I've researched the heck out of it, and found one post about someone having the exact same issue 4 days ago, but no replies or fixes have been posted. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears.
