G29 - since I have had no trouble, I must admit I’m hesitant about “asking for it”.
But will hook it up to a computer this evening. Hope it doesn’t cause difficulties.

How do I get the Update? I’m quite clueless about these things, as everyone is aware.
I believe the original post was in relation to the thrustmaster t300 where they do put out firmware updates a few times a year.

Oh, sorry, misunderstood. Am I to assume that the G29 does not require Updates then?

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - JAGUAR E-TYPE COUPE 1961 (SM) at Nürburgring GP - 20:30 Clear (4 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @MikeGrove wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - PORSCHE 911 RSR 2017 (RH) at Suzuka Circuit - 15:45 Fine Weather (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Grandpa Money gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Raw10_2u so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Currently tracking 30 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

Our 1st prize winner is clear to make his choice. @MikeGrove you are on the clock and will be added to a conversation in the next few minutes.

Oh, sorry, misunderstood. Am I to assume that the G29 does not require Updates then?

If you end up trying to update I'd probably hold off until after tonight incase something goes haywire. You wouldn't want to be out of commish for the enduro this evening.

I have a T300 and like Gunny said they usually update the firmware a few times a year which is good to stay up to date on.

Snailers,

Upgrading from my 11 month old G29!

Really appreciate hearing the opinions of those who have. T-GT or Fanatec CSL.

I’m intending to purchase either one, depending on recommendations from the crew?

I have no experience with the TGT, but the CSL has been really good for me. I recommend getting a load-cell brake pedal as you'll definitely need more resistance than the standard 2 pedal setup. The wheel is smooth, while providing good feedback, and as far as GT Sport, the drivers are well supported. You'll be able to feel when front end of the car understeers or goes light.

Edit: forgot to mention the good "ecosystem" Fanatec has with their accessories and compatibility with other systems.

How did you do that? There are only 30 on file and you are not allowed to review one of those.:D
2647-2614= 34,,, I should have looked at the incident review form instead of the sheet we alter for points! OOOPS!

Now go claim your 9 shells...lol.[/QUOTE

I seemed to have claimed a few too many (5) so I may break even when its said and done! PS: See if I help you anymore!
