There was mention of Daytona a few weeks back. This may be old news / old hat but I'll throw it out there anyway. https://www.redbull.com/int-en/tv/

  • Dakar daily highlights. Toby Price is a fracking Stud.
  • WRC rally coverage of every event. Monte Carlo just wrapped up last weekend.
  • Bathurst 12 hour. 12 hours and 33 minutes of coverage. Opening laps in the dark before morning light are epic. While watching coverage I couldn't help having flashbacks to our event on the Mount and wondering, is it live or is it memorex? During in cockpit views I found my foot twitching for the brake pedal.

Official SNAIL Practice Tonight
Lobby up at 9PM EST

Combos here

Just a reminder for everyone, including any new SNAILS. Thursday's are official practice nights. Its just as fun as Sundays and its fun to race with people you wouldn't normally be sharing the track with.

Please close any other unofficial lobbies by 9PM EST if you wish to participate in official prac. Why you wouldnt want to I'm not sure. But the reason for closing down any other lobbies is so we can find out if we'll need more than one practice lobby open. The sooner we know >16 people want to practice, the sooner we can open a 2nd room to accommodate everyone.

If we do need a 2nd lobby, we'll need someone from D3/D4 to host a lobby. I will handle changing the original lobby to D1/D2 practice, while the other is for D3/D4 members. Once numbers start to dwindle down in both lobbies we will consolidate down to 1 room to finish the night.

Thursdays are a great night to target new recruits. A pretyped message welcoming any randoms that join with a brief message about SNAIL and which car to use for the combo being practiced is advised.

See you guys tonight

Edit:
PSA: There was a 140MB update last night. While the download doesn't take long, the install does. Probably 20ish minutes.

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1,@zer05ive ,@Rednose58,@MajorBlixem & @SAMHAIN85 as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Sorry you got stuck to grid. It is a mess after the update. Having 1 stuck tonight was not worth restarting like we normally do. Hope you understand.
Do these server issues happen much
These issues seem common after updates. Let’s see how it works approaching the weekend.

Hi Stevenson,
I'm just joined SNAIL today and submit my time trial. I wonder where can I join the Thursday night practice and where I can join for the race on Sunday Night. Pls reply, thank you for your help in advance.

Tiger10GT.

Yep - tonight was plagued with the dreaded stuck on grid bs. And cars glitching out in the pits. But other than that - we had a fun night of practice with an awesome turn out. Thanks again @Nick Cannella for hosting the 2nd lobby.

To expand on this...I forget who but someone mentioned this in the party chat. I'm so glad they did because I completely forgot:

PSA: DELETE ANY SAVED LOBBY SETTINGS YOU HAVE. The rooms seem to glitch out when you load Lobby Settings from before the update. So just delete everything and create new ones.
