Taken from the host responsibilities post in the SNAIL OLR Policies and Guidelines

What the host should do:

1. Between 9 and 9:15 pm Eastern time the host should open a new public lobby for the night's racing and post the room number in the main SNAIL thread. This room should be set to the first track from the time it is opened. The host should not allow hot lapping or practice before the start of the race night. The host is also responsible for insuring that the race settings are correct for each race during the night.

All hosts should start tonight's racing at the scheduled time. The only reason to hold the start is to give someone who was already in the lobby their three minutes to return from the time they left, provided they are believed to have been disconnected, or to sort invisible driver issues.
