All hosts should start the night's racing at the schedule time. The only reason to hold the start is to allow someone who has disconnected their three minutes to return to the room.

Annnnd the lobby blew up. Good luck tonight everyone

Race Blew up and the one before cars frozen on track.. no restart... 30 min wasted... I don't think that Sunday night before practice is the best time to be doing rercuiting.... just my two cents. For those that had little practice... I don't think that dealing with non snail traffic is time well spent.

I disagree. Just because there isn't a race going on, it doesn't mean people can't still "practice" and run laps. In fact some people would rather just run laps in an open lobby leading to race time than running an actual race. I have seen numerous lobbies hosted leading up to 9PM EST where the host has the lobby set to 2 players maximum so they can just run laps uninterrupted. So to call it 30mins wasted is a bit of a stretch.

I don't think that Sunday night before practice is the best time to be doing rercuiting.... just my two cents.

I think Sunday night might be the best time to do recruiting, since that is when we officially race. If potential recruits are joining practice lobbies 30mins before race lobbies open, there's a good chance we fit their schedule. Since they're online and racing when we race. Thursday night recruits are great, but how do we know that Sunday nights are available for them?

For those that had little practice... I don't think that dealing with non snail traffic is time well spent.

Lets face it, if you hop on Sunday night with little to no practice, there's a good chance you aren't going to do well in the official races anyways. Regardless of who's in the lobby leading up to the official race lobbies opening. And using tonight for example, we had quite a few randoms/potential recruits join, but only 3 or 4 actually joined the track. The other 12 were SNAIL members.

Something else to think about it is we have allowed hot lapping in race lobbies now that qualifying has been scrapped to accommodate for longer races. This was never the case previously. Race lobbies would open at 9PM EST and you'd have to sit and wait until 930PM to actually get behind the wheel and start turning proper laps when the qualifier started. Theres an argument there for "30 mins wasted". But fast forward to now, when the race lobbies open anyone can hop on track and run laps leading up to the race starting. Which is why I made the point in the practice lobby earlier that it doesn't make much sense to practice Combo 1, since you've got 30 mins to practice it when the race lobbies open. Practicing Combo's 2 & 3 are probably a better utilization of time leading up to race time. Thats my 2 pesos.

I think Snail should recruit whenever possible. I enjoy the way @SAMHAIN85 can talk to randoms while in the middle of a race, and the advice from @Wolfsatz about relaxing car requirements. I say, unless it's an official Division lobby on Sunday night, come on in, whether it's Wed afternoon, or 8:45 pm Sunday night. I'm all for getting more people on the grid.

At my present skill level I'm still working on my track knowledge, and a non-race environment works well for me. I do a fair bit of practicing in lobbies and my lobby name does include "Snail" and "recruiting". I have reduced the # of drivers to 2 occasionally, but do enjoy when other Snails(?) join. And I do talk up Snail when I detect interest among the non-Snails. Sorta like what happened in my (ours? Wolf) D3/4 practice lobby on Thursday.

D4 has two replays that do not appear when searching for the tag. Round 2 race 2 and Round 3 race 1.

Please fix and advise.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - RENAULT SPORT MÉGANE TROPHY 2011 (RH) at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca - 12:00 Fine Weather (11 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @notime72 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - CHEVROLET CORVETTE C7 GR.3 (RH) at Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit - 08:00 Clear (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Noob01_lmdead gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @gatordaryl so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.
