D2 replays uploaded.
Not a fan of the Grand Valley combo, not from the car or track but from the time of day. The time was too dark and made the track blend in with the California dirt background too much making it difficult to see.Scores, data and votes done for D1. Great night of racing especially on the first combo with Tim and Valex. The new Grand Valley makes for some good on track action. I loved that combo. Slow car fast always produces close racing.
The high-beams from cars behind shining in the cockpit and on the windshield was a bit distracting as well. Not a fan of the Grand Valley combo, not from the car or track but from the time of day. So was the guy behind me flashing his lights coming up to a corner. The high-beams from cars behind shining in the cockpit and on the windshield was a bit distracting as well.
edit- I guess that's inherent with night racing though.
I did turn mine to the dipped beam when I was behind you at one point. So was the guy behind me flashing his lights coming up to a corner.
This was more like four or five consecutive flashes. More like a guy with a controller pressing on the stick and activating the button while trying to do something else. Probably not intentional but quite annoying.I did turn mine to the dipped beam when I was behind you at one point.
Not a fan of the first car/track combo.
I don't know what can be done about it, but the lag of some drivers was out of hand. I got to watch Unsteadie's car do its best impression of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Cesarr64's car was jumping from side to side like it was having an epileptic fit.

Wow. Either I wasn’t close enough to him most of the night or me being the host mitigated some of that. Two different types of lag at work there. At least they show up differently. Unsteddie would take flight, jump forward and back as well as side to side. At one point, he spun in front of me and teleported across the track at Grand Valley. Later in the night he went from 15 car lengths behind be to a car length in front in the blink of an eye. With cesarr, all I saw was a little twitchiness. Not great but just give an extra half a car width and you can deal with it.
In a perfect world, everyone is on PS5 and has great wired internet. This is not a perfect world.
Probably a little of both. Also if you're both on PS4, it could be helping the two of you but not anyone else.Wow. Either I wasn’t close enough to him most of the night or me being the host mitigated some of that.

All things considered the connection is not too bad. There are some basic things that may help.I am on ps4. I wasn't playing enough to justify a ps5. Now though, I'm playing a little more so I'll get a 5 soon. As for the internet, yes it's laggy, , I can explain. I'm in an rural area so my high speed is "starlink". Which although fast is still a satellite service. I'm pretty sure that's the cause.
I'll try on Sunday hopefully things go better. The last thing I want is to mess up peoples racesAll things considered the connection is not too bad. There are some basic things that may help.
Hardwire to your modem/router.
Try to minimize others in the house from using high bandwidth during racing. IE Streaming video, other video games, etc.
Restart your PS and modem prior to joining the lobby.

Dude, I wish we had a picture or replay of you round 3 race 2 where you came out of no where on the 2nd to last turn squeezing yourself between me and another guy. LolD2 replays uploaded.

I was using my VR and I see sparks flying off my car and you flying past us! Lol 😂 if only I had the cockpit replay of that man. Good Racing Brother!
Just a head's up for anyone that wants to try that line. The white line is the track boundary and you need to keep two tires on or inside of it at all times.I just shared a ton of pictures of that and a bonus pass on the same turn later in the race.

After watching the replays no one was taking that turn right. The fastest line is to brake later and stay high and straddle the white line. You can carry more speed on exit.
