First race of the first combo was amazing. Three way battle from start to finish with @Timlour and @Nicktune trading positions back and forth. I went between second and third during the race only to take the lead on the last hairpin on the last lap.

The result after the last corner. You only need to lead at the finish line in order to win ;) Great combo and awesome racecraft as usual. What a blast !

Another very close finish, this time between @JamCar0ne and @Kgffy Interlagos is a good track producing a lot of clean battles and overtake opportunities. The Z is also a superb car to race.

Overall, a good night of racing. Three really fun combos especially the first one. The slower the car, the closer on track action is.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Toyota GR86 RZ '21 (SM) at Autodrome Lago Maggiore - West Reverse - S01 Afternoon (9 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Worst_Driver wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Greddy Fugu Z (SS) at Autodromo de Interlagos - S01 Early Morning (9 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Gurney67 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Nicktune so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Prize A pick: Nissan Skyline Hard Top 2000GT-R (KPGC10) '70 (Comforts Softs) @ Alsace Test Course, S09, Early Morning.
Mid div lap time: 1:00
Back up car: Suzuki Swift Sport '17. Same lap time.

Here's a car and a track variant that has never been used. Even on comforts softs, it doesn't slide much. It should produce good on track action. The car is available right now in the LCD and for the next 8 days so we should be OK on sunday night.

I just noticed during my testing that its hard to find tracks that are enjoyable with slower cars. The refreshed Deep Forest and Trial Mountain have been stretched too long in the straights which makes them boring with slow cars. I wish we could have Autumn Ring and its variations and other shorter tracks back. PD's focus seem to have shifted from regular street cars to GR3 and GR4 that are more esports friendly. I also wish for shuffle racing to come back, it was a lot of fun, much more fun than racing the same Meta cars in sports mode every single week. /rant off.

Is that the version with the stupid uphill section that goes into a turn? I think it was in one of the license tests and I've avoided it like the plague ever since.

The car must be "readily available"

Driver that didn't race last week doesn't have the car. Can't run the combo this week. New driver doesn't have the car, can't race a combo on their first night.
I understand this but is there a point where we assume most players are going to have all 44 or so used car dealers cars? The game is almost 1.5 years old now.

Sure. If we never got another new member we could probably give everyone notice that they need to purchase all the UCD cars in the next 8 weeks and then everyone would have all those cars and if they didn't, it's their own fault.

What we have is a whole lot better than what we had in an earlier game. The response to using used cars on Sunday night was, "If you want to race used cars, run a special event."

That's five votes to freeze the car and 10 are eligible to vote. The first vote is the tie-breaker so the car is frozen.
