Warmup room open.

Note to host. It appears with BoP on at Laguna it pulls power from the Viper. Don't know if that's intended or not. Turned it off for me warmup room.

It's quite possible but it has to be on in order to restrict tuning.
I suppose. I just set PP & HP restriction. With BoP on it pulled power because it said it is a low speed track. I realize it doesn't do anything for tuning other parts of the car but, it's a warmup room. Still haven't been able to turn a lap anywhere near what I posted.

My thought is that because the Viper is a Gr 4 car, BoP will equalize it for other Gr 4 cars, even though Snail is spec cars. I've been practicing with the reduced HP, here's hoping I haven't gotten mediocre with the wrong setup. :)

Yep, all cars falling within one of the FIA categories will move to their BOP setting when BOP is active. Which for most cars is going to be a change in power and/or weight, though there a few that run unadulterated in BOP trim.

BoP must be set to on to prevent car settings to be altered. The loss or gain in power or weight is applied to all cars in lobby. It has been this way since GT7 was released.

Scoring sheets for 9/24 created

Host can start on time. Only reason to delay start is to allow a driver already in the lobby their 3 minutes to sort out connection issues

So, just noticed that Subbie has DRS. Wondering, does the Nitrous/Overtake function activate it? Not that it might matter after tonight but...

Division 1
  1. Timlour ----------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  2. Nic-KL ------------ voted to eliminate Round 3
  3. GTP_Worstdriver --- voted to eliminate Round 3
  4. A_Mindful_Place --- voted to eliminate Round 2
  5. Dragonwhisky ------ voted to eliminate Round 1
  6. Xrad-11 ----------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  7. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 2 - 91 (Prize A)
  8. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 1 - 91 (Prize B)
  9. EvoSpec10 --------- voted to eliminate Round 2 - 91 (Prize C)
  10. Gurney_67 --------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  11. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  12. cesarr64 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  13. Vinnybear440 ------ did not submit a vote
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Maserati MC20 '20 (RM) at High Speed Ring - C03 Twilight (14 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @racingchamp30 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Subaru WRX STI Isle of Man '16 (RM) at Fuji International Speedway - Short - S18 Evening (10 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @JamCar0ne gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @EvoSpecX so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Since i am getting Prize A to pick a new car and track combo, i would like to include all who are on the drivers list and make a suggestion. I will test out each suggestion and test out each one once i have the all clear to do picking. We all race together as a Snail family so mine as well include all of you who participate each week and devote your time to what makes Snail, Snail. I was not expecting to get prize A based on my finishing position after all 6 races were done. Any suggestion is a great suggestion and i will test out each one. Select which time of day you would like and vehicle any of you feel would be challenging to handle or fun to handle.

With one more week in the September season I have an outside chance of making it into the prizes. 😂🤣

@racingchamp30 Here's my suggestion. A huge change of pace here with a 45 horsepower car on the Horse Thief Mile.

Toyota Sports 800 '65 (CS Tires) @ Willow Springs International Raceway: Horse Thief Mile. Early Morning, S02.
Mid div lap time: 1:12.
Back up car: Honda S660 '15.

It won't be necessary though because the Toyota is in the UCD for the next 6 days...and most of my combos are one and done
Remember that its the last sunday that UCD cars need a back up. Don't forget to stock up on UCD and LCD cars...the best ones are hidden in there anyways ;)

Thank you. I will wait for more suggestions and test out each in the morning.

Old school muscle. At daytona road course?

Don't all the old school muscle cars hit the rev limiter on any decent sized straight?
Yes unfortunately. The last classic muscle car we raced was in 2022, the ‘69 Corvette @ Sardegna Layout B and it was very close to hitting the rev limiter…and its the fastest one of the bunch. It also got voted out after one night like I expected 😂 It was sliding all over the place even on sports hards which I love from time to time.

As much as I love classic muscle cars, their absurdly low top speeds make them close to impossible to race in the league.
