Just to be straight @gotdirt410sp , I knew what you were talking about after reading about 4 words, but, I keep up with the bugs and glitches thread and that transmission glitch was mentioned here.

I remember that night. There was a connection issue and I couldn't see you. So, I keep on asking "Where is that sinna guy" The others keep on telling, "don't worry, he's behind you" I like thought his right behind me, chasing me.... not 5 secs a lap slower.... Yep, it was a good night - and you have improved a lot since.

I have been out of pocket...went to Sebring and just got back from the weekend of all weekends at St. Pete as a Cadillac VIP (a very nice friend was invited by Caddy).

Just to let you guys know that me heart is in the right place...

The first time was at Laguna Seca, which was one of the reasons that I decided to sign up in the first place. I was familiar with that track and figured it'd be a good "first-timer" race where I could get my feet wet. However, the race was on low-grip tires and until then I had only used racing softs when racing with my friends online. I put in some practice to get used to the lower grip, but I didn't realize that practicing offline had different physics than racing online. The result was me spinning out several times during the race; a very frustrating (and confusing) debut for me.

The next race was a Monza. Let's just say that it didn't go very well either. :grumpy:

Umm... That's news to me.... Offline physics are different? That's important to know for sure.

It potentially has something to do with connection speed...potentially is the key word here.

You'll generally be 1-2 seconds faster offline according to the clock.

01: SNAIL OLR General Rules:
K: If a driver wants to retire from a race, the driver concerned must not exit the race. The driver must find a position on the track where the driver will not endanger other drivers, park their car by coming to a complete stop and turning on the emergency brake and wait for the race to end. If you do not come to a full stop and turn on the brake your car may drive on by itself. Do not, under any circumstances, use the start button except as noted in section O. of the OLR.

O: You must not use any cheats or bugs in the game. The use of cheats or bugs affecting the cars performance is forbidden.

1. Use of the start button to ghost your car at any time for any reason is considered a cheat.
2. Drivers may use the start button once they have entered pit lane in order to safely retire from a race.
