What race is tonight?! I know tomorrow at 1pm is the BMW Endurance Challenge
 
Well damn I wish I knew this was on. I'm watching The Grand Tour instead right now as it's almost over anyway. Tomorrow's first race is 10:50am Ferrari Challenge.
 
Now that the racing is official underway at Daytona, I feel it's an appropriate time to announce here that I will be returning to Daytona on April 7th to race in the 14-hours of Daytona with ChampCar (formerly ChumpCar). I'll be teaming up with my uncle, Walt, oldest brother, Chuck and cousin, JC. We'll be racing JC's 1989 Mazda RX-7, with a swapped 3.8L V6 from a Camaro. There are currently 35 entrants, but it is expected to have well over 100 entries at the drop of the green flag.

Previously, Krueger Tuned Racing raced at the 2016 14-hour race and placed a respectable 78th out of 125 cars. We had an issue for the first half of the race where the car wouldn't go faster than around 90 mph. It was like being a hazard on the track. Eventually, it the issue was discovered and fix, and proceeded to reach a top speed of 135 through the tri-oval. In 2016, my fastest lap was 2:27.979 and I'm certain the car (and me) are faster now.

There doesn't appear to be much in that old thread except for a first post with some basic regulations and 6 pages of "I'll be there tonight" type of messages. I would go ahead and start a new thread for Cat and Mouse on GTSport.

If you want my roller derby idea you're welcome to it. It does have a couple of rules. You still have one mouse and how ever many cats. This will work best with two teams but could use three or four.

1. Track is NorthernIsle
2. Laps set to at least 20 or how ever long you want to go.
3. Cats are not allowed to drive backwards or stop.
4. Mice must stay above the inside painted line.
5. Pit lane is off limits to all cars unless they are put there.
6. If a cat finishes 20 laps before any mice, that cat's team loses.
7. First mouse to finish the race wins for his team.

You could also do multiple rounds with the same teams but with the mouse switching among team members. Example: Five team members would run five races with each team member being a mouse. You could go best three of five races or use total laps completed by the mouse to determine an overall winning team.

I am a bit confused with No. 6. Cat is faster than any mouse I am assuming and this just happened last week by some random joining our final race at a rally track. He just forgot about the mice and just went around the track 3 times and finished the race. No mice made it to the finish line..

The idea in roller derby is to have your jammer (mouse) get our front and come up behind the field of blockers (cats). The jammer then has to work their way through the field of blockers and complete another lap. This might actually work better with fast mice and big, slower blockers. Maybe use a Gr. 4 car for the jammer and the Raptor for the blockers.

Actual roller derby scores differently than laps completed but this wouldn't be real roller derby and laps completed is simple.

OK .. that is a very good variation ... kinda of like C&M with role reversal... creating new C&M thread. Thanks for the idea!
 
I still haven't opened up GTS. However a re-ignition of C&M could prompt me into getting a PS+ subscription again, besides my boy has been asking about playing his friends. I would love to see C&M become a somewhat regular thing. Our PS4 is no longer hardwired and this would be a great way for me personally to get back on track with SNAIL without causing major disturbances.
