Yes I can. If I recall correctly, the side tone is adjustable using their command center. The Sony headset I had, had very little sidetone and was an issue for me as well.

You cannot hear yourself in the cheap headset I purchased. I guess that’s one of the drawbacks to the one I have. My wife has to remind me to keep it down once in a while.

Question to the masses, what do you use for a microphone. I want to be able to party chat in the future and was not sure what works the best with the PS4.

Now I have to find the box, I don't remember it coming with one, but I will look.

I just use the originally ear bud with inline microphone that came with the PS4 (hopefully you stashed it somewhere). Then I get to use my surround sound for the game, and can click the mic on and off. It works fine for the short times we chat during the Sunday night league. I have used it for extended periods of time while shareplaying or in a party for a different game, and while it isn't the most comfortable, it works.

Bought this exact headet on Amazon a little over a year ago. For less than 30 bucks it’s working just fine. Clear volume in game, clear voice, etc. Sure it’s corded, but as mentioned previously, get an extender and you’ll have no issues. The price is right and the quality is outstanding over a year in use.

Yeah, steelseries are nice. I had originally opted for a set of Steelseries for my pc, but I just couldn't get them to fit as steady as I would prefer (considering my rig will have motion someday). They were comfy, but too loose in my head. I ended up with Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Snow. Just ended up paying more than I had wanted but I've been VERY pleased with them.

On the PS4 I have an older set of Turtle Beach wired headphones. They work well and have separate game & chat volume dials. (Ironically the fancy Logitechs don't have that feature but mostly because it's unnecessary for pc gaming)

Good point @Lessen my only 2 gripes are if you move around alot the will fall off. Not a big deal for me.

The other is you can't use the other dial for chat/sound to go between the 2.

CoD WWII does. Destiny 2's pvp moves too fast for it to matter unless you're going for perfect cards in Trials of the Nine. Haven't played Battlefield 1 in a long time so I don't know about that one.

Battlefield has good audio so I think they'll be good enough for me. I still find the idea of 7.1 audio in headphones to be a bit like those ridiculous razors with five blades. I've only got two ears...

If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @BradESPN so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. My Logi's are 7.1 but in truth I turn surround off for racing. Two reasons which boil down to one. On pc I wear ear buds inside of my headphones. For whatever reason, stereo is overall louder than surround. Secondly, with ear buds in I get a realistic muffled effect that mimics real life and thusly seems to negate some of the imaging the headphones are trying too create.

Using the Turtle Beach Stealth 520 headset. Virtual 7.1 I think. Sounds good and it's wireless. I can adjust chat and game volume separately along with hearing my mic volume in the headset. Tried a couple of PS4 headsets and it felt weird not being able to hear myself. I can easily recommend these if found on sale. Think I paid $140 CAN on sale.
