That's assuming the corvette could see the Porsche. The BMW was hiding the Porsche. Remember it's real racing no blind side indicators just a spotter. Vision is so highly limited in race cars. It wouldn't surprise me if he just straight up didn't know the Porsche was there.

At least in the Porsche GTD car, they do have a very sophisticated blind spot monitoring system. It's essentially a back up camera that's always on. When a car is in the back up camera it shows additional indicators. When a car is on the side it shows a huge arrow pointing in that direction.

EDIT:
I remember seeing the screen while watching the race yesterday. It was in Leh Keen's on board camera. If IMSA puts the race up, I'll see if I can find it.

New this year, the NBC Sports app has full race replay for F1. You can even AirPlay them to Apple TV. Nice to be able to watch these races at a reasonable EST
Pvr's do the same thing :) I only stay up that late to watch the Australian GP the rest will get Pvred and watched in the morning before NASCAR starts

As of this post, here is the current list of the ButtKicker Challenge IV picks. If you are a finalist, please read the instructions and terms and conditions of the contest that I have sent to you. Once you are authorized to make your numbers selections, click the 'Reply' button below and then add your GTP Username next to any numbers that are still available. Be sure that you don't make more picks than the number of picks you have earned. Once you're done making your picks, you need to delete the text above the ButtKicker logo (it looks like this: [qu0te="username, post: 1234567, member: 123456"]). After you've deleted that, hit the 'Post Reply' button down below. Please be sure that you are replying to the most current list before making your picks. Good luck!

Ms. Elise's Dangerous Curves
101 Recommendations for better Racing!

Avoid the 1st turn Mess!
Especially important at the reverse start. Different speed and lines are possible, but you don't want to get collected on a spin.

@pakicote avoids the mess.

Getting airborne at the entrance of the 2nd tunnel can make a really difficult turn 8. Carrying to much speed into the tunnel will give Elise wings and may cause a slide under heavy breaking. @turnupdaheat gets airborne but keeps it together after the jump.
Deep Forest Raceway_4 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

@Wolfsatz gets loose loose but avoid the wreck and holds the attack from @Xradkins which was also respectful of position .
Deep Forest Raceway_6 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

Master the art of Give and Take. Giving other racers the room to race will avoid unnecessary contact which causes big wrecks. Specially important at this combo with loose tails, any contact slows both cars quickly. @turnupdaheat follows closely but with a different line.

Deep Forest Raceway_3 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

Turn 1. Tap the break, aim for the apex and feather the throttle until you can safely track out. A bad line or flooring the throttle can yield unwanted results. @II-Nova-II looks ahead to avoid trouble followed by @socalnatv

Deep Forest Raceway_11 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

Last Turn. Pretty wide, can create or set up for a pass. Caress the wheel, feather the throttle and proper shifting can set up for a good opportunity. Here @Xradkins attacks on the inside.
Deep Forest Raceway_7 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

Flooring the throttle to hard may send you spinning. @II-Nova-II get a bit loose and loses precious seconds allowing for an easy pass.

Deep Forest Raceway_14 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

Turn 4 and 5. Here @II-Nova-II demonstrates the proper line up high is fastest around. Hitting the apex and getting back in the throttle early is best. Listen to your tires, you should hear them, but not screaming.

Deep Forest Raceway_17 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

Patience all around! You may be faster than the guy ahead.. but only by hundreds of a sec per lap; that means you'll have to be patient to set up a pass.... @II-Nova-II holds the Wolf attack very well for 3 laps.

Deep Forest Raceway_12 by Wolfsatz, on Flickr

... Here attacking the inside actually makes it easier for the car following @socalnatv to complete the pass... the inside needs to lift off in order to avoid contact onthe outside, killing momentum.

Great shots and action descriptions from last night's practice @Wolfsatz. Good luck to you tonight.
