Hosts should start the night's racing at the scheduled time. The only reason to wait is to give someone their 3 minutes to rejoin the room or to deal with existing connection issues. Waiting for someone who signed on to PSN is not an acceptable reason to hold the start of the night.

Also please be sure that everyone sees the correct number of drivers for each race.

From what i read on a couple forums, the tuning prohibited option did not exist in the demo. Hopefully in the full game the same settings in GT6 for online lobbies also was carried over to GTS.

For ya'lls sake I hope so. PC2 has a default setup option. I don't know how well it works though. It was an afterthought in the first PC and not well implemented.

I've done it in a couple lobbies. Seemed like everyone started with different fuel amount. sound familiar?

Restarting system, getting network incompatibility message.

Edit: Uploaded first 3 races for D2. Was having too many problems with GT6 and PSN connection tonight even though i have a solid internet connection on my computer. Was able to upload the first 3 races, not the last 3. Was able to upload Round 1 Race 1, Round 1 Race 2 and Round 2 Race 1.

Had problems tonight as usual. Glad the ps3 snail is coming to an end. I hate missing races and holding the lobby up because me and someone can't see each other. Sucks I missed out on giveaway points..

Put me down as well. Looking forward to it.
It's funny how some people think they can poop on your yard, then come back later and ask to come inside your house as if nothing happened.

I see several people that I think are still active from then after checking the archive results:
nmcp, nic-kl, ice-warden, bowler, onespace, schmiggz, rally, Oshawa, handlebar, sand...didn't recognize a lot of those from the aug 2013 results but these stood out as still posting and racing.
Since you're finally in the mood for listing names, why not list the names of the 30-48 drivers you insisted quit SNAIL because they were treated unfairly. I asked you repeatedly to provide me with your list and back up your claims, but never got a reply or a PM. So quick, while you're still in the mood, go ahead and provide that list here like you did for the list above or you can send via PM as I offered before. 👍

That’s a pretty solid burn.

Guess I thought I could just sweep the dark days under the rug since that was quite some time ago.

I’m not going to be providing that list since I never really had it in the first place.

So, does this mean I have to take my wheel and go elsewhere or can I rejoin and have some fun?

Not my call, but I've already stepped in your crap and I've only been back on the thread a week.
I'm a big fan of organization of subject matter. I thought that since this was under the folder heading "GT6" that you guys would frown upon advertising Project Cars. Just like I would gather that this will move to a "GTSport" folder when the racing begins.

Not trying to bash Desert...just thought, incorrectly, that it belonged in the PCars area.

I apologize.

Not trying to impose my view as I realize I have no power here and am relatively new to snail in the grand scheme but maybe we can use sport as a reset and bury old grudges with a clean slate. I know nothing of the wrongs of the past but as someone who has made their own mistakes I believe in second chances and fresh starts. Sometimes taking a break can give clarity to a situation and a fresh perspective. I know that in gt1 there was a lot of friction and frustration toward the end between personalities but I truly hope everyone involved returns for sport with a clear head. I realize there will still be disagreements and hand wringing at times but it doesn't bother me personally.

Just my $.02, feel free to ignore and no explanation either way is necessary. I will do like always and go with the flow either way.

I agree 100%. Unfortunately the SNAIL series I want to join is run by two people that have erased me from existence as far as they're concerned :( In that case it's best to just move on. I'm trying to make my own series to have a place to do what I want in SNAIL on Project Cars 2 but I have to work out the day because there's already a few getting set up.

First thing that happened to me was the screen froze before the 2nd combo started for the first race and then it just kept disconnecting me the rest of the night even though i had an internet connection on my computer.. Luckily i was able to upload the replays from the first 3 races. Even though PD might have a couple people still helping to maintain online connectivity for GT6, I think that it has come to an end for GT6 with PD because of GT Sport releasing tomorrow. So with GT Sport releasing tomorrow, i think that the online component now to GT6 is nearly non existent. I think what happened with me last night was showing the last hurrah happening in GT6 with GT Sport releasing on Tuesday.

They kept gt5 servers going for quite a while when 6 came out, so I don't think online gt6 will abruptly end with GTS out. Those not converting right away should still be able to find good online races...
For those that are getting GTS , you can, at this time download the game so it's ready to play midnight tonight EST.( Maybe midnight local, where ever you live.) The countdown has begun

I wonder if the GT6 service might even get BETTER for a while since the workload will be significantly lighter with many people making the switch. Obviously it would not be in Sony's best interest to kill the GT6 online service too soon. People take time to adapt. The new game is a radical departure from GT of olde... I imagine they don't want to give folks any more reason to spend more time with Forza.

Public Announcement.

I am getting together a few people to help with the GT1 series that I had in GT6 moved over to GTSport.

I am looking for a Co-director that has decent leadership skills and can help with things such as: Announcing important information on the thread and helping with tuning for a few you might need it.

I know the last part could be a little difficult to find in a spec racing thread but things can be learned.

Thanks for your time and if you are interested in helping please PM as soon as you can.

I would like to offer my $.02 if that is ok about why membership is down in GT6. If you look at GT5 for example, right before GT6 released, if i am correct or wrong on this, the numbers were dwindling in GT5 right before GT6 released. Same thing has happened with GT6 that the number of players and divisions have dwindled because of the expectation of GT Sport getting closer and closer to release plus the issues with online connectivity mattered alot where all of us have dealt with online connectivity issues in GT6 that was not a fault of our own.

Ever since i gotten that invite in March 2013 to join Snail when i was racing in the online lobbies where some were just driving with no sense whatsoever and i guess i was being watched by Snail management and the founders of Snail that i got the invite because i believe in racing clean on the track even if the other drivers drive dirty in online lobbies where other drivers drove crazily. Yes i have had penalties put on me even at times where i missed my braking points getting into another driver or caught cutting corners and i respect the fact their is a penalty system to keep drivers in check so we don't have drivers treating Snail like we driving in destruction derby.

Just like in real life racing on the track, their are people who watch over what happens on the track and will penalize people for overly aggressive driving and either fine them or flat out boot them off the team in racing if they get way too aggressive. I rather have an a**:lol::lol: in the Snail community who is a moderator of the racing rather than have a softy that overlooks every dive bomb or overly aggressive move on the track. Just like in racing outside of gaming where if a driver gets too rowdy with their attitude or starts fighting, they are not allowed to race. Same with virtual racing, have to keep a cool attitude no matter how aggressive the other driver might be. It is to show that not just me and others are cool headed even if the other person acts like a jacka** on the track.

Another reason number of players and divisions would go down is because of life itself. Don't know what someone else is going through when they need some time off of virtual racing. Whether it be having children, a death in the family, going through depression, just through life itself where things just happen in life we cannot control and if people need to be off of virtual racing for awhile because of life itself, that is normal. I love that this league in Snail has rules to abide by in virtual racing just like the same rules apply in real life racing and same rules apply when driving on the road. I always will stick by Snail no matter what.

It was an honor getting that invite in March 2013 and never look back. I like their are people who others would consider a jackass rather than have a softy that would just overlook the online drivers that skirt the rules. Things have to be kept in check in order for this online league not just for current members to stay but new members to be interested.

Thank you everyone for all these years of online racing and thank you all for your support in Snail all these years. Thank you to all the people who founded this online league. Thank you all for your part in Replay Uploading, Scoring, Data Specialist, Broadcasting, Hosting. Thank you all to people who have kept the rules in check and make sure we all are following the same rules that would not just apply in racing in the real world but driving in local roads and highways. I cannot thank the people enough for sending me that invite in 2013 and me racing not just online in GT5/GT6 but continuing that tradition for me to race once again once Christmas comes. Each and everyone of you are appreciated and is not said enough. Here is to Snail forever.

Classy. Might be better off posting that in the forever buggy PCars forum area.
See that bolded word, that takes your post from being a "friendly suggestion" to being an 🤬. Especially considering there are all sorts of off topic posts all around that one and really, all over this thread, a thread you are not new too. Further the post you jumped on, wasn't even a serious post about pCars. The context was clearly joking. To me, it seems it was only a problem to you when one person made an OT post.

We dropped from 7 divisions to 3, between 5 and 6. When 6 hit, we got a huge influx of drivers for sure. No doubt your assessment is right. I expect people moving off the ps3 and onto the ps4 further exacerbated the issue as well this time around. We haven't even started on GT S yet, and already I'd say we have added another divisions worth of drivers. I am willing to out money on having 5 or more divisions again before xmas.

Good guess. There are currently 15 drivers that have expressed an interest in joining or rejoining for the launch of GTS.

Ok no problem. Clearly you have an axe to grind. I apologized...the next post I even gave Desert the  indicating we were all good.

How are we supposed to move forward when you keep piling on? Seriously, I just want to just race and enjoy myself.

Please.
