More TLV DIY nonsense:

Either someone drove the hell outta that GTO beforehand or Tomica bought some really thin tires for it... Such a small "rubber" wall!
It'd be accurate in my neck of the woods. "3000GT" they were called here, and they had super low profile tires on them. Maybe they were stock on VR-4s.
I got the Nissan President patrol car in other day? DIY were just the mirrors & one antenna.

Edit: @Spacegoat you need to post that CM's/TLV comparison pic!

but realistic detail such as the Integrale 16v writing is outstanding.

How are they able to it get so freakin small!? That's what I want to know.

Crazy.

Did someone just say.. Comparison pic?!?!

:D
Just a couple quick ones I took. It's not an ideal comparison, considering the CM's is a rally car. Interesting in seeing a6's comparison with the plain red Integrale.

I did too, and I've been meaning to post complaint pics for a different reason.
It's the first TLV I've owned that has casting issues--namely there's some metal missing around the front wheel wells, like enough wasn't poured in and it left some thin spots.
Give yours a look, maybe it's a fault with the mold?

Molds may be perfect, but each cast may not come out perfect, due to the sheer luck of receiving the portion of the mix that wasn't 100% mixed to spec standard thus causing imperfect casting.

I had a HW Datsun BB510 Wagon that had a hole in its roof.

Anyone ever have an M2 car where you can't get the base off the case? That's my problem with this one but considering it's staying in the case like my others it's not that big of an issue.

In the two days I didn't go to Walmart, they got new dump bin in, also Gran Turismo entertainment series. I'm not sore.

But what made me real sore(lol) is this:

DSC_0006.JPG

Flipping shopping cart filled with new hot wheels from the dump bin. Come on guys. If you are just gonna go through everything, take everything good, the very least you can do is clean up after yourself.

Again, I wasn't sore about missing out on the new stuff, especially Gran Turismo entertainment series w/rubber tires, but I was so sore, I swung by Toys R Us after grocery shopping & then there was this:

DSC_0007.JPG

I'm sure you guys are kinda used to this one. Yeah, by all means. Go through everything & leave everything where they don't belong. I just don't understand this, man.

I picked up some mainline Matchboxes & Hot Wheels, but passed on all GreenLight, because of $7 price tag. Quality goes down, price goes up? No, thank you.

Mine's good. Maybe the passenger-side rear at the bottom look like it's short one tiny scrape's worth. There is a real tiny speck in the paint on the roof of the "hire" President I got though. *checks casting* Passenger-side rear again, it's little more noticeable on this one. Still the casting looks 99+% perfect to me? Maybe 95% on the "hire", because of the speck on the roof.
No clear winner, but as we might have all expected, TLV stays tidier than CM's work.
I think me & goat both thought TLV won by very small margin. For me, in headlamps & tailpipe(s). Having said that, I plan on doing my own comparison & also research the typical market price/msrp when they were new, because I suspect that CM's were hella cheaper. Depending on how much each manufacture charged for their Delta, I very well could declare the CM's as the winner, CM's pretty impressive.

Just watched lameley's video of the k day case. I didn't even know there was a k day coming on the 24th. Guess I'll pike Horizon 3 up on Friday then do my hot wheels shopping on Saturday.

Yeah, I'd give a very slight edge to TLV. Just think that all the details are just a little bit sharper than the CM's version. They're both top notch models though.
I plan on doing my own comparison

Love the detail of the small Integrale decal on the side skirt.

Those Lancias are fantastic, but I will pass on them... For now. That Mitsubishi is oldly satisfying.

Well, I may not have gotten any pictures of my interesting finds, but my brother sure did! He looked in some places I didn't and apparently I missed even more than I thought. (Probably for good reason)

Not purchase's, but findings.
Not bad. $19.99 is a little much for my taste though.
IMG_1903.JPG

My brother did get this however and I wonder what else he got....
IMG_1904.JPG

I seen this set before back in 2015, thought it was gone, but looks like it isn't! :D
IMG_1905.JPG

Cool set, especially the Daytona and the Stutz, but I think I will pass on this.
IMG_1906.JPG

Yes! :dopey: My dad's brother had this set and I even posted pictures of them before here. I am not leaving this behind next time I go!
IMG_1907.JPG

Cool I guess, but way too expensive!
IMG_1908.JPG

Better, but still too expensive.
IMG_1909.JPG

Heck yes! It's not the 80's Corvette though, it's the remarkably similar ex Corgi Chevrolet Corvette. I love the former Corgi's and i'll take these over any of the new Treasure Hunts any day.
IMG_1912.JPG

Another nice car and it comes with a Kar Keeper's case! $5? Yep, I am in.
IMG_1911.JPG
I think I will take the Little Debbie sets and the Chuck E Cheese's cars next time I go.

Its been at least two years since I was last at a Kday. :indiff:

And speaking of Kmart, I have a slight update: I called and they said they'd look into it and take the necessary action. They also said I'm also free to go inside the particular Kmart store I had my little situation in, but I'm gonna wait about a month from now just to let things "settle down" so to speak. :)

How dare you, Gotbeefboy! How could you!?

I'm going to find out where you live. Maybe this weekend, possibly next week(have few days off).

Chuck E Cheese's branding's cool, but that Little Debbie's box van!

This is where my experience kicks in from watching many court dramas & movies: I would've demanded dibs on the first round of the K-Day sealed cases. If they still refuse to make it right, bring up the Constitution, specifically the Second Amendment(don't do that, you'll get arrested lol).

All I want is just a $1000 Sears/Kmart gift card so I can buy a :censored:load of tools. The only guns I'll be involved with are impact guns.

Oh, come on now. Lamley's rock.

Another DIY part from Tomica Limited Vintage. I bet @GroupB don't have this one:

At first, I thought it was one of those orange cones? Look, a prop came loose, but it's cool that it came with accessories..... Then I took a closer look. This car came in a padded envelope from Japan.

So many poorly packaged Tomicas come from Japan, that I'm now convinced that Japanese couriers actually handle packages with care, and the Japanese sellers have no idea the kind of torture test their packages will be put through overseas. In the U.S., it's not rare to see packages arrive looking like the rig that transported it crashed & totaled.

Anywho, yes, that's a loose steering wheel. I'm in the claim process with an Amazon seller as I post this. Never gets old.

I had one arrive like that from Japan Booster, steering wheel and column completely detached and rolling around the interior. They were shocked to see the pictures and immediately replaced it. Like you said, I don't think they see that kind of damage domestically.

Ok maybe a stupid question but are the gran turismo cars really exclusive to Walgreens or will they appear in other stores? Haven't been to Walgreens for cars yet but if that's the case I'll stop by a few Walgreens after K day to see if there's any GT cars there.

Amazing, how the steering wheels not only came lose but how it worked it's way outside to the rear of the car like that.

Also, what kind of TLV is that? I've never seen one in a blister card before.

Saw all the ones I don't want at Walmart(entertainment series, rubber tires).

Wow. Japan Booster actually pack them well.
Whoa, steering wheel error! Cool find, man!

Edit: That's soOOOooo money!
No Andy. No!

It is a weird package. It's Nissan Leopard. I've stalked it for about two years now. One of the cheapest TLVs around.

Edit: This is from their Toho series, based on old Japanese movies? I have another one from the same series, but this one was in a box.
