Just in case any of you haven't seen the new GTP 2010 Calendar check out the Homepage.

Jordan has generously offered me a free years premium subscription due to my involvement in the calendar, however since I already have paid subscription to this site and would like to promote the calendar (and the fact that all proceeds will be forwarded to the Alzheimer’s Association), I am offering to pass on the free years subscription to the first, currently non-premo member of this site that forwards me a PM with proof of purchase of the calendar.

The calendar is currently available through GTPlanet's Redbubble account.

You just reminded me I need to renew my phone credit, and pay for lifetime premo at some stage. Unfortunately I already have a 2010 calendar of something else.

That's no excuse! :P I'll end up with about five different calendars after Christmas...

Actually I have 2 calendars already, one a Holden calendar from a magazine, another a Top Gear sports cars calendar from the Top Gear mag, and I'll probably get more from our trade customers at work like last year. I wonder who'll win this year's worth, since there is actual effort required.:D

No takers?

Remember the following:

1. You get an awesome calendar
2. The first person to pm me with proof of purchase gets 1 year premium subscription to the best forum on the internet
3. You get to feel good about yourself knowing that all proceeds go to a charity.

Can’t ask for much more than that!

Is the shipping price included in the proceeds going to the Alzheimer's Association?

No, Redbubble is not the one donating the money to the Alzheimer's Association, GTPlanet is. The printing and shipping costs go to Redbubble. The Calendar has been marked up from its base price, this "profit" will go through Jordan to the charity.

Ohh, that's a good one. :D 👍

Well still no response from anyone. Not a single non-premo member purchase the calendar?

Okay in that case, I'll leave the offer open till COB AEST on the 17th after which point if no one has taken up the offer, I will either extend my premo membership for another year or just arbitrarily pick a non-premo friend on here that and give it to them. Shame as I really as would like to reward someone for doing a good deed by purchasing the calendar.

Don't forget guys, you have 3 more days!

While I see why you are doing this Syntax error, I can understand why you have had no response. You see you haven't really thought this through well enough.:sly:

There are two types of people who would want premium gifting to them. The ones who would like to have premium, but simply can't afford to buy it/have no way to buy it and the ones who don't want to buy it and just want someone to give it them for nothing. If people can't afford to justify spending money on premium, they are not going to buy the calendar just for the premium and of course the others aren't going to spend any money because they want something for nothing and buying a calendar to get it is not worth it in their eyes.

Yes you can argue that you thought someone would take up your offer, just to donate to charity. I suspect though, that the only people who will buy the calendar will already be premium members and they don't really need premium do they.:)

You should keep it yourself, for the effort you put in, in the first place and then for offering to give it away for charity, you deserve it.👍

Sooooo - what about those people who are thinking of getting premo for christmas and would do so with a bit more persuading?

I share Syntax's sentiments.

While there may be some people like that, they are very few and far between and then you have to add in that some people who come to :gtplanet: will have not even seen this thread in the first place, you are down to very few potential customers who may take up the offer.

Don't get me wrong, I think what Syntax is trying to do is a good thing. I am just not surprised at the lack of people wanting to take up the offer.
