another little project i decided to do......well not really a project more of a challenge 
decided to try and get a road car to do a 10 second 1/4mile totally standard,that means no upgrades,including tyres,gearbox,suspension,not even an oil change
had a think about cars to use and decided well there is only one place you can go for fast stock 1/4mile car.....america
and decided between two cars,ether the Dodge Viper SRT-10 or the Ford GT and ended up with a Ford GT.
so just set up for the first run didnt really go all out and got an 11.3,so off goes traction control and the thing i really liked about the ford GT is that you can give it alot of revs and the cars bogs down a little not wheel spinning and just grips and goes,but if you give it too much revs it wheel spins......alot
throttle control is the main part here and played about with launching the car at different rpm and the times started coming down.11.2,11.170,11.123,11.070,11.030 and so on quickest i got was 2 runs at 11.009 and i noticed that it could be done but started to get slower times although all still under 11.1 and then after around 25 held the throttle so it was inline with 2000rpm and then launched not going till full throttle but just winding it on rather quickly and you could hear the tires trying to break traction,went up to 7500rpm and into second and floored it,100mph passed in 6 seconds and across the line in 10.996 @ 135mph!!!!! done it!!! another challenge over for a day
