Hi All,

Im wondering if people use 1000+ bhp cars for drifting?

This is a v rubbish quality video of my 1052bhp r34 Round Grand Valley. (this video is old) I'm trying to get perfect quality vids like all the others on here though, is there a program/piece of hardware that i can buy? I lost the memory card that this car was saved on :ill: so im in the middle of re-creating it in black!!!!! :)

I've recently been trying out drifting in GT3 and 4 and I've been learning in a stock Nissan silvia S13. I topped up the power to 300bhp so I could practice on the long corners of super speedway and use the cones as obstacles, it's a lot of fun. And with the wheel it's very challenging too. But with 1053BHP! man, that must require some serious car control.

i knew u werent critisizing....anyways, in gt4, my ruf ctr2 has like 9xxhp and its just as easy to control as something with 3-400hp...u do get a lot more wheelspin, but it also allows me to hold the drift longer..etc etc. same goes for a few of my cars in gt3.

You just have to match the HP with the tires... Don't use N2 tires with a RWD 1000hp beast, but sports or racing slick tires work well... You get the idea...

I love drifting high hp, but I mostly drift mid to low power vehicles...

i started in a 992hp vantage :D and iv used a 997hp r390 road car once or twice and my personal fav a 838hp CTR2, the higher power cars are easy to get sideways but can punish you very quickly :scared:
 
Hi There, sorry I havent been posting I've been in Norway and Sweden for a week :) I'm trying to get my videos uploaded to putfile etc but the links are bad that they send me :( anybody know of a good free place without getting deleted so quick?

Oh and yes you do get a lot of wheelspin with 1000+ bhp drifting, he he thats what i like about it.

Hey All,

I've got the vid uploaded now, AND I've put a choon over the top!!!! Took me a grand total of about 15 minutes.

It Isn't the best but it will do for know, I need to purchace a capture card for crystal clear quality I think. It was filmed on my digi cam so its not the best quality.

I've also added to my drifter collection, I've bought a 3000gt - 1000+bhp and an evo 7 RS 700+ I think (handles very nice actually)

How do you guys set up your cars ? I jus change the vcd to about 20% and tyres to sports and thats about it.

Oh, does anyone know why my video plays back in LSD mode ? I get the nuttyest picture on my vid i have ever seen but the downloadable one is ok!

Could be a codec.... anyone know how to fix it?

I can say with my hand on my heart that that is me. Why else would I take the time to upload the vid? I have a bit more sense than to go and try to pass of another persons video as my own!! Your friend must be a really sad individual too, does he even own a ps2? Is his car the same colour, same wheels? If you could post a link to one of the other vids that your mate did and we will see who the real owner is !!

I did think the comment "how do u even say its your n00b" was quite flattering tho. I have been drifting on GT3 for a while but this is my first vid.

Been drifting real cars since i was 17 (got license when i was 16)
My friend is the 1 who said its his and the only way for us to really know and i apology whole heartedly if we were wrong but it matches 100% what color is te skyline purple or blue

ok he was wrong and im VERY sorry for going off like that his was Purple but whats scary is the song is the same and u both did every thing at the same time frm start to end its uncanny

its all good about the appology mate couldn't belive that someone was saying it was their mate! I thought someone had got it off one of my mates on msn and passed it off as theirs!!!

I started drifting a 1000+ hp Skyline along with a 3000GT this week and i love the added power with the cars. I run mediums up front and normals in the rear and i have had quite a bit of success with them damn if i only could get those vids on my computer!
 
I really dont see what the big deal about drifting cars with 1000hp+ is. Most if not all of my drift cars have anywhere from 700-1300+hp. I am currently trying to upload a video of my drifts in a Supra and a Chaser that I made.
 
drifting with the r33 is great and is a new challenge for me and i used some of those settings to. im running about 400 sumtin horsepower and am doing good i just need a vid to see wat im doing wrong.
 
Y do u guys run such sticky ass tires?? :dunce: Learn some car control for god sakes and run Sims!! I have several over 600bhp drift cars on sim tires and TRUST ME, they can all link start line to finish line on every track w/o problem. It's easy once your used to it and it's much more fun that being stuck to the road on SS's :P
