Hi folks. I will be hosting a double 500 mile race this upcoming Saturday, March 26. I will have the rules, car information, and other important info up later tonight. The two 500 mile races will be the Daytona 500 (NASCAR) and the Indy 500 (FGT). I will also be hosting some fun style races in between both the 500 mile races, such as a "cat and mouse" type race on The Top Gear Test Track, and some potential mixed class races, so everyone can get to know each other. If you have any questions AFTER I post the information, you can always PM me.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend :).

This Saturday, March 26, I will be hosting a 1000 mile day. These races will be the famous Daytona 500, with NASCARs of course, and the Indianapolis 500, with the Formula Gran Turismo. The first race, the Daytona 500, will occur at 1:30 P.M. EST, with practice and qualifying beginning at 12:45 P.M. EST. The Indianapolis 500 will occur at 6:30 P.M., with the practice and qualifying beginning at 5:45 P.M. The winner of the Daytona 500 will either get the Dodge Viper GTS or Corvette Z06 (C5), with the winner choosing the car, and the winner of the Indy 500 getting either the Dodge Viper SRT 10 Coupe or the Corvette Z06 (C6). And, for the driver who does the best in both races will either get the Viper ACR or the Corvette ZR1, with each race having point values per position to determine the overall winner.

RULES

Clean racing is mandatory. However, there will be no caution flags in the event a wreck occurs. The driver must depend on skilled driving to get themselves back into contention for the win. A headset is also mandatory. You must announce if you begin losing control in a corner if traffic is coming up on you, especially at Daytona. However, during the race, participants are welcomed to have conversations with one another to get to know each other and to make the race a little more interesting. Any hateful comments, however, will result in immediate booting. Tuning as a mean of gaining horsepower is prohibited, but the driver may use proper setup per track. For the Daytona race, the driver can use a "recommended" NASCAR in the event their own NASCAR is having control difficulties.

POINTS AND OTHER RULES

Both races will have points for the finished position. First place will have 10 points, second will have 9, 8 for third, 7 for fourth, 6 for fifth, 5 for sixth, 4 for seventh, 3 for eighth, 2 for ninth, 1 for tenth-thirteenth, and 0 for fourteenth-sixteenth. The driver with the most points at the conclusion of both races will be declared the winner. If cheating and/or dirty racing is suspected, I will be looking at the replay at the conclusion of each race. If the driver is found to have been cheating, they will be disqualified, and will automatically drop to last place. If the driver is found of dirty racing multiple times during the Daytona 500, they will be disqualified for the Indianapolis 500 and will not be able to start.
