I noticed that gamestop has not updated their website to show how the packaging going to look. Is the anniversary edition going to just come in the standard game box or come in a steelbook case?

Not sure here yet and i'm the US since gamestop won't update their website to show how the packaging going to look. Just have to see when i go friday morning.

We don't get a steel case in the USA.
I'm not actually 100% sure the front cover will be any different from the normal version since technically, the 15th anniversary bonus is a code separate from the game. That would mean GS would have to have two different cases for the game. Pre order and non pre order.

Stopped by my local Gamestop today (had trouble with my online order so I put a deposit down for one in-store). They had some on hand (though not available to take home until Friday). It comes in the normal plastic PS3 box, and has the 15th Anniversary Edition cover with the Renault Megane.

It looks like GameStop is showing the Anniversary case when I look at their site. It's not a big deal but if I don't get the box shown on their site I'm going to raise heck with them. I've already taken screen shots for proof. I'm already not happy about paying for shipping when it is free everywhere else. The day I ordered it they had free shipping but it didn't apply since it wasn't being shipping until the 6th. They don't wanna mess with me

I got the Anniversary Edition in the Netherlands and it had a steel case.
Edit: There's a small plastic cover which looks like the normal PS3 case, but you can just slide the steel case out of it (and back in if you'd like)
Edit 2: The front is different too, it does have the Renault Megane.

I only put some money down last week at Electronic Boutique ( Canadian Game Stop ) they were out of the 15th anniversary edition. But the pre-order was something like 15 cars too.

When I pre-ordered not one, but two salesmen said the standard edition came with cars. When I picked the game up I saw a spot saying 'DLC PROMO: GT6 PS3' and thought there was my cars. Get home, spend the twenty-five minutes loading, run the first couple races and then start looking to put the code in. It was a 16 character long code, PSN takes 12. So I called EB to ask what was up. Up to an hour before gt6 went on sale the store believed there was a bonus car code, I was welcome to return the game, but there were no Anniversary Edition left ... the code was on the receipt, not in the 15th Ann Ed case.
