Thanks. Music was pretty much decided at the last minute so thats why theres no choreography either, if i wasnt having sound problems at first i think i would have built the video around a song.

246hp, N1 tires, and ALL the other parts that dont add power.

i did 15 laps practice on El Capitan last night before going to bed, my first time attempting to drift the track...I got some awesome replay footage, and I think i have a new favorite track

Looking back, I tried that this morning, but I downloaded it again, and in less than a minute it was done and I still had the problem

It took me about 20 tries to get it to download properly here at work so you guys arent alone. But I did eventually get the whole thing, should be 7mb.

Well, then that's the only thing to try........

had some good looking stuff going on with the S14, nothing that really made me say "whoa, how'd that gy do that?", but some pretty solid stuff there. The short clip of the mustang was kind of lackluster.

Looked very smooth, just a couple small wobbles in the S14. Also, there were one, maybe 2 cases where you were trying to carry too much angle and it showed at the exit. Glad to see you're trying to get as sideways as possible, you did that well. But limit it a little more towards the end of the turn, try to come out pointed straight ahead (I know its tough).

good choice of music too, more like what i listen to everyday - and not this eurobeat stuff.

I run into the problem of "carrying too much angle" sometimes, usually when i feel the car is losing too much momentum and speed and then in response i get on the gas a little too much. its especially tricky when you have to downshift mid turn as you probably know. Also I still have a little bit of a habit using only countersteer to decrease the angle, as opposed to easing back on the throttle a little bit. Im getting better at it but I still need more practice with it

Ill try letting off the gas a little bit at the end of the turn to exit smoothly, because usually at that point im on the gas pretty hard to keep the car going.

Mustang clips are just sort of there, just to eat up some time more than anything. I thought the jumps and sparks were kinda cool and i managed 1 half-arsed drift on the race tires.

glad you liked the song, i have a pretty big variety of music, wanted something a little different than the "norm". I was thinking it would be cool to have some classic rock and some musclecars for a vid, like Saturday Night Special or something.

i liked it, especially the second to last turn in the s14. i think i take similar lines as you do, but im not quite sure. keep it up!

that was some sick drifting, and i like how u can make teh drift so wide, very nice. i also like the car cause u dont see much of the 94-96 series of s14, i also like how u used trial mountain reversed. nice job, keep up the good work

I think one of these days im going to post the settings for the S14, its a pretty fun setup, its loose but with some practice you can hold long drifts with it.

I think the s14 i used is a 1993, i chose that car because personally i think the rounded rear spoiler goes better with the body styling, plus the front bumper looks cool.

and Tri, i liked your drifters delight video, it gave me some ideas for future videos.

ok, i have a question for EVERYONE thats been making videos. How do you change views in the replay? i can change it so there is an in car view and turn on and off the on screen displays, and the mode where its supposed to change with the music, which has some really cool views but holds them only for a few seconds and the camera shifts around way too fast. It seems to change with the game music even when you have the BGM turned off.

There are a few replays with some cool views that I cant get for my vids...Ill try to repost later with some examples when i have a chance to look thru some vids again.

to get the relays to stay, you gotta eject the disc while the replay is going. itll let you keep a camera much longer. then just push the disc back in when the replay is over

Wow, nice drifting. One of these days, I'll have figured out how to do that and havy my own video on here. I bet if those corners were'nt hairpin, thered be a lot more action goin on, but ingeneral, nice drifts.

actually, you get the same effect by removing all the songs from the race and replay playlist. I did this since i wasnt a huge fan of the tracks anyways.
no disk popping, and no risk of messing up a memory card
(note - turning the music volume to zero does not have the same effect)

the camera still shifts when the car goes out of focus, but it isnt every 1/2 second as the beat changes. Instead, you might get 10 or so seconds per camera.

this also removes the text that will occasionally appear as a song changes, since there are infact no songs for the game to choose from.
